Property Ratings at Balboa Palms Apartments
We havent had laundry machines they promised to replace for over a year already
I've been here for over a year, but seen management change 3 times already. New managers are nice, but rarely answer their door. It's an old complex, so the space is large. But there are a lot of issues with piping, heating, etc. And there's roaches (at least in our unit). The noise level is a little high because it's located off of a busy street, near the Van Nuys Airport, and next to the railroad tracks. Also, depending on the location of the unit, they are adjacent to loud electronic gates for the garage or overlooking the alleyway used by multiple apartment complexes where people drive unnecessarily loud vehicles. And the street parking sucks.
I’ve been living here for about 6 months now and it’s been overall a good experience. The manager and his wife are really nice and the unit is large and spacious. The gated parking is a plus too. The only cons to this place the laundry room which ALWAYS has a machine that’s not working and I’ve had a problem with my parking gate twice now but the manager and his workers fix it promptly. Other than that I got no complaints.
Location of the apartment is great with a target near by and gym across the street. It’s well secured, surrounded by lots of nature, and always well kept. Manager is onsite which is super helpful!
