Property Ratings at Avenue Apartments
I lived in apartment #2 here in a studio and yes to me the studio was cramped but I was used to larger apartments before hand, it was in the price range I could afford so I took the chance and I loved it my whole stay, the landlords Lori and Lauren were awesome always super helpful and kind and were always looking out for my best interest (18 year old living on her own it was a great comfort) they were super nice about allowing my ESA animals and I don't have any complaints about the management or the building itself. They were always quick to respond to any matanince issues and the few naubors that I talked to were cool! I really liked it here the most because everyone pretty much stayed to themselves which was a nice break from the naubor drama at my old apartment. If I ever move back to Green Bay I'd definitely rent here again! And also I'd say their one of the most affordable and yet still nice places to rent in Green Bay.
I lived in these apartments for about nine months. Being a single 24 year old nursing student, I needed something cheap. I actually really liked my studio apartment. It was cute, cozy and perfect for one person. The apartment building itself was absolutely disgusting. The walls had what appeared to be random bodily fluids or God knows what smeared all over them, there was random garbage in the light fixtures lining the hallway, and the basement where the TWO washers and dryers were kept - for like 30 apartments, was someplace I absolutely dreaded going. Most days it smelled like freshly lit cig or like someone smoked a doob right in the hallway. I get it - it's Western. Cheap apartment, one of the worst streets (if not the worst) on the west side of Green Bay. When I applied for this apartment, I specifically spoke to the apartment complex manager and asked about how the crime has been there.. She said it really wasn't bad and that there was police presence at least a couple times daily - quick drive through the parking lot to keep an eye on things. Not until I was there signing my lease was I told that there was a entry to the building that did not lock. Hmm, seems safe. Over the nine months I lived there, I heard countless disputes between men and women that did become physical, heard people excessively yelling andswearing at their young children (I never heard any physical child abuse, or I would've called 911 in a heartbeat) and witnessed many drug deals occur in the parking lot. I will admit, I never called the cops. There are MANY people living in those apartments that I did not want knowing I even existed. Just fork over some extra cash and get an apartment a couple miles north. Not worth your unhappiness and safety.
