The sunny and tree-filled city of Davis is probably most famous for being a college town -- this is, of course, the location of the University of California, Davis. This artistic city is filled with public art and murals -- it is also filled with bicycles. Biking is big here -- it is considered a platinum-level city for bicycling by Bicycling Magazine, it is home to a multitude of bike lanes and bike paths, and it is even home to the Bicycling Hall of Fame.
Davis apartments aren't just popular with UC Davis students. This beautiful city features several parks, a farmers market, and several festivals and events, making it a terrific option -- especially for those commuting into nearby Sacramento, which is just 11 miles east of Davis. The city of Davis celebrated its centennial in 2017 -- be sure to take the walking tour of this historic city after moving to Davis.

Property Ratings at Avalon
First I will admit, location is nice and maintenance staff is great. However, pricing is outrageous: the whole unit is responsible for the rent so if you run into any problems with your roommates not paying rent, you're screwed since the office will not do anything. For those curious on their response to Covid: they did the bare minimum to help themselves, not the tenants. Also, I got charged for turnover fees $1000+ with no explanation why.
