Neighborhood - College Heights

College Heights

In the northeast corner of Reading, Pennsylvania lies the College Heights neighborhood. Centered around Albright College of Pennsylvania, it is located between Kutztown Road and N 9th Street to the west and Oak Lane to the east. Route 12 separates the neighborhood from Bernhart Reservoir to the north, and to the south, Robeson Street divides it from the rest of the city.

Reading is the fifth-largest city in Pennsylvania and sits halfway between Philadelphia and the state capitol of Harrisburg. While the city houses close to 88,000 people, College Heights is home to approximately 15,000 inhabitants, making up 17 percent of Reading's total population.

The neighborhood is one of Reading's wealthiest and is primarily residential. It became an official historic district in 2012 and consists mainly of residential homes and apartments. Move here for the parks and beautiful scenery.
