The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Autumn Glen
I am a fair person, so I will start with the positives. First, maintenance requests were always completed very quickly, and the maintenance crew was very kind. Second, the office staff were helpful, knowledgeable, and kind. Unfortunately, these positives do not outweigh the negatives. Now onto the negatives. First, the heating and cooling units are very old and inefficient which will cause your electric bill to be outrageously high. I paid approximately 300 dollars for a one-bedroom unit in the summer months, and that is with the thermostat being set at 76, not doing laundry in the unit, and taking all energy saving precautions. In the winter the bill was approximately 200 dollars. If I could do it again, I would find a newer complex to live in. Yes, I would have had a higher rent, but the savings in my electric bill would have more than paid the difference. Second, this complex has a cockroach problem – to the point that I feel confident calling it an infestation. I am a clean person and kept my apartment very clean. Additionally, I had them come spray several times and even purchased my own cockroach traps to try and keep them away, but alas, the cockroaches remained. On average, I saw anywhere from 3-6 cockroaches a month, which is a lot of cockroaches in my opinion. Third, the overall grounds were kept in poor condition at best. The landscape was very unkept in some areas of the complex and the sidewalks were often covered in mud/sand. If there had been rain then there would be puddles in the sidewalks that remained for several days after, depending how much rain we had gotten. There was dog poop everywhere, now I know this is not all Autumn Glen’s fault, but it was frustrating (and stinky) nonetheless. The trash receptacle was often overflowing, and trash was sitting on the ground, which was also very stinky. Lastly, the complex and units are old and outdated. There was a small hole (about as big as a pencil eraser) where my front door should have been sealed to the door frame due to an improper seal. I submitted a maintenance request but was informed that they were unable to fix the issue due to the seal no longer fitting the door frame correctly. No steps were ever taken to fix the issue and update the door frame or seal. In the two years I lived at Autumn Glen I saw no improvements or updates made to the complex or the units and overall, the quality of the complex declined. I strongly recommend you avoid living here.
Karen is very rude! Has an attitude every time we call to report a problem. Bathroom flooded the whole place and have major cockroach problems! DO NOT MOVE IN!

I love these apartments. The grounds are nice and shaded, the apartments are well-kept, but I would say the best is the staff and maintenance crew. They have fixed anything that I might have needed within a day.(granted I haven’t needed much) I would definitely recommend this complex to anyone looking for an apartment.
I will say the price for rent was okay, but if you get a downstairs apartment you will hear your upstairs neighbor every move and God forbid if they have little ones. I literally got off of work just to hear a toddler run around and stomp nonstop. Couldn’t even sleep in on my off days. The kitchen and bathrooms need a huge upgrade. The so called “pantry” has a water heater in it and I have no clue why they claim to have linen closets when it doesn’t have multiple shelves (literally one shelve at the top of the closet and it’s located in the living room). Parking is terrible, neighbors let their guest take up parking spots some weekends and leave residents to park at a completely different building that’s around the corner, never saw a tow truck that they claim to enforce when I signed my lease. Overall the apartments need to be upgraded and they need to force residents to pick up after their dogs and stop flicking cigarette buds on the ground. I didn’t smoke, but it would be hard to tell since they blew on my doorstep because of my upstair neighbors.
This is a wonderful place to live. We were there 2 years and miss it terribly! Maintenance was there that day or the next. Parking wasn't bad at all, but as with most apartments, if you get in late, you may not get right next to your front door. These people worked with rents during covid's first wave which makes them saints in my eyes. They do NOT nickle and dime you like I have seen at other apartments. Karen is an absolute pleasure! My neighbors still call me to chat. The walkways are beautiful and the residents keep pet waste off the lawn. It really felt like home. Police drive through constantly for security and everyone watches out for everyone. I rarely heard anything through the walls. It's like they are dampened with cork or something. Don't let a lousy tenant who wouldn't pay their rent or had unreasonable request say this place isn't nice. It truly is!
These apartments are fantastic for the price! Water is included which saves you tons of money. We lived there for almost two years and it was a really fantastic experience. We never had AC issues because they took great care of their units, changing the AC filters for you every three months and spraying for pests just as often. We never had an issue with bugs, we never had an issue with the plumbing. The ladies in the office are SO HELPFUL. We got our deposit back and even though we left the unit a month before our lease was up, we got our last month's rent back because they were able to re-lease the apartment so quickly. I worked from home and the complex was usually quiet, I often took afternoon walks by myself and it was very safe. We never had any safety concerns at all. We always had parking, and covered parking was an option for a low price. I wish we still lived in Tyler so that we could still live here! Truly the best experience I have ever had with apartment living.
I lived there for a couple years and it was a bad experience. Problems with property, grounds, staff , safety and insects. Strongly encourage you to avoid this property.
First of all, management is RIDICULOUS! Karen is a control freak, and Norma is VERY rude. Out of all the problems we had at this place, some topped them all. When a tire went flat over night on my truck, I didn’t even get a full day to even attempt to fix it. Norma slapped a big tow sticker on it and it was going to be towed the next day. When I called about it, she was very rude and snotty and stated that I “should have fixed it.” I’m sorry I work night shifts and have to sleep during the day??? Problem #2, My brother paid $400 to have his dog there. When we moved out, they added TONS of random charges. We didn’t get the deposit back, and they charged an additional $120 for “pet dandruff” in the carpet. What???? There were burns in the carpet, and we were already paying for the carpet to be replaced, so please tell me why there are additional charges for “pet dandruff” when we are already paying to get the carpet replaced anyways?! They are SUPER money hungry. They do not care. And when I called to talk about the extra charges, Karen was of course, RUDE AND SNOTTY. Problem #3, There is dog poop all over the tennis courts. It’s disgusting. You would think that with the $400 they are charging for pets, they would use it to clean the place. The $400 they charge is not a deposit. It’s a “fee”. You do not get the money back when you move out, and the money does not go towards any damages done by the animal. (If any REAL damages even exist). You have to pay ADDITIONAL money if there are damages. MONEY HUNGRY!!! problem #4, The a/c units are so old, that it runs your bill super high it’s unreal. Problem #5, Matience is prompt when needed, but they WILL walk into your apartment WHENEVER THEY WANT TO. Sometimes not even knocking. They unlock the door and walk in and do what they want. Save yourself the time and money. Do not even bother with this place or these people. I read bad reviews about this place before we moved here and I gave them the benefit of the doubt. Thinking that it was just a few bad experiences. But NO! THIS PLACE IS BEYOND HORRIBLE. Horrible people. Horrible place. Please do not move here. If I could give negative stars, I would!
My husband and I moved in as newlyweds and spent the first year of our marriage here. It was the perfect love nest! The office staff was always beyond helpful and went out of their way to help with any issues that we had. After we moved out I had a package accidentally ship here and they helped me recover it! So thankful for the staff and the wonderful experience we had here!
I have had nothing but a great experience living at Autumn Glen for the past several years. My apartment is very quiet and any maintenance issues that I have had come up have been taken care of very quickly (usually same day). The grounds are taken care of very well and the area feels very safe; I have never felt unsafe walking into my apartment late at night. The units are a little outdated, but for the price and size of the units, it cannot be beat. The location is great- right in the middle of South Tyler, a short drive to all of the restaurants and stores you could need. I have not ever had an issue with parking in Building 16, but I know that some other buildings have a little less parking. However, they do offer reserved covered parking for a small fee. I have lived in a first floor apartment for over three years and I have not had any issues with bugs or mice. Karen and Norma, the ladies who work in the office, have always been very kind and eager to help. I would definitely recommend these apartments.
The maintenance crew is very helpful and will fix anything. They are very prompt to any call and will fix problem quick. The office staff is also very polite and will help you with any concern you have of the apartments. Highly recommend this apartment complex.
We've only been here a month and a half and it's been awful. Noisy neighbors at all hours of the night, very old and outdated appliances. We told the office about the neighbors more than once, nothing was done. We have mice problems, when I told the office they said it would be almost 2 days before someone would be here to handle it. They don't seem concerned at all about people here, they just want to sign people to a lease so they are stuck. 10 months left and we are out of here. Don't waste your time or money here.
Great customer service here. They just need to update some of the equipment. There are lights in the pool that have been out for over 1 year and they will not fix them. Same with the tennis court
