Auburn Hills combines a wooded, suburban setting with plenty of exciting attractions. Residents can visit the Sea Life Michigan Aquarium or LEGOLAND Discovery Center Michigan, or they can head to Fieldstone Golf Club to spend the afternoon outdoors. Property Ratings at Auburn Gate Apartments
If you have dogs, I wouldn’t move here. They have hit us with multiple violations due to the opinions of other residents regarding our dogs. Two golden retrievers, and apparently they are extremely scary… I have a third car that has a pass to be parked here and they require it to be moved every three days. They have threatened to tow it every time I’ve been late and put a sticker on the windshield that doesn’t come off and refused to help remove it or the residue you get from removing it. The apartments are nice, the maintenance team is great, and the office staff is helpful. But if you don’t like being pinned down by large company policies I would not recommend auburn gate. Also side note we left an honest review of the move in process that included facts about them breaking promises to call us back on a certain date and being all around slow with the process, and they did call and ask me to remove the review.

I recently moved out of this complex and while the apartments have nice community amenities, such as a community grill, pool, small gym, small dog park or pretty much ends there. The apartments have nice layouts, but the bathrooms have no ventilation so mildew and mold grow. The housing has no insulation so you can expect your heating and AC bill to be sky high. There are sliding doors to the apartments for a patio but they leak so much air It’s not even worth the feature. The parking in this complex can be hit and miss depending on which section you live in some have a mall sized parking lot while other areas have less parking space than there are rooms on that street. this leads to people parking in handicap spots when they don’t have a placard or having to park in non-parking spots because there is no room for the residents. This has been brought up to management and they say oh well too bad and parking spaces aren’t an amenity, which is weird for a Michigan apartment. Their solution to this is to park at the clubhouse, which can be up to 3/4 of a mile away and who wants to wake up in the morning to go to work and have to walk a 3/4 of a mile. Also, the crime rate has gone up exponentially in the past few years that I lived there, including theft and trespassing, vandalism, and car break-ins, so for the complex to say they want us to park farther away from our house when there’s crime happening is absurd. There is also only one entrance/exit for the whole entire complex. It is also right next to I 75 so you can expect to constantly hear the expressway right outside of your window. In my opinion, it is not worth the price that you are paying especially when appliances are constantly breaking but maintenance doesn’t have appropriate response times. they dump all of their money and rent increases into bettering the clubhouse so that it looks like a nice place to live when you are signing, but beyond that it really isn’t that great. Glad I had moved out and found a better place to live in the area.

I'm a new resident of Auburn Gate; and I made the right choice to move here. The office staff is friendly and helpful, maintenance issues are handled quickly and my apartment is wonderful! The grounds are well-maintained and there are wonderful amenities--including an activities director who hosts fun weekly activities. This was definitely a good choice to move here.

Auburn Gate is a quiet place to live. They are making improvements, however, the previous manager was more customer focused. I probably will not renew my lease for a fourth time as there have been a number of issues that still haven't been resolved.

My experience as a resident at Auburn Gate, for the most part has been great. I have lived here for almost 4 years and hope to stay for many more. Other than the typical noise of having someone live above you and there be no sound-proofing, it's a wonderful place to live and the amenities are very nice.

the people are great, i like the space. pretty trees, the grass is well kept, the gardens and flowers are well kept as well. some of the residents are bad about cleaning up dog poop and keeping dogs on leashes though

I have enjoyed being a resident of this community for 5 years, and it has been an excellent experience! This is a great home with a lot of great amenities! The staff is terrific and they help you every step of the way. The maintenance team is fast and you don’t have to wait long at all! I put in a maintenance request late at night and they were there first thing in the morning. I greatly appreciate them!

Would give 6 stars if I could! Plenty of reasons to love this community. My only issues so far have been addressed literally the next day every time. My only request would be more parking spaces, especially near the apartments that are along the treeline to the South of the complex. It's really hard to have company over without them parking a mile away!

Nice and clean from the view of the landscaping.. I love the main entrance with the auburn gates sign and water fall. I like how nice the front office is always happy and pleasant.

I like the upkeep of the grounds, landscaping and the improvements being made to the pool/hotub area. I've only been here 3 months and in that time have seen such beautification as additional flowers and new landscaping.

I have been putting in maintenance requests for two summers because my air vents smell like mildew. It is disgusting smelling, and I always have to have the windows open and candles burning, which is also unhealthy for your lungs. My friend came over last night, the moment he walked in the door. He asked me why my house smelled like mildew. I am so sick of it . Supposedly a regional manager is getting involved, but I have not heard anything for several weeks about it. Everything in your home is smell like mildew is not what I call a luxury apartment by any means. I know it’s not healthy . My son has developed a chronic cough since we moved into the apartment

I have lived here for 3 1/2 years and I really enjoy it! The very few and minor maintenance issues I have had have been resolved in a timely manner. Staff are friendly and helpful. Neighbors are great! Amenities are a plus!!!

New Management company took over and have just ruined the experience that we have had for the last 3 years. Instead of fixing parking issues, enforcement of their smoking policies, they are more worried about what your balcony looks like, and to be honest they don't even take action across all the buildings and apartments. They put out emails about what they are going to do and yet no actions, other than more emails. The office staff wants everything done by emails and then take a month to get back to you. No wonder so many residents are moving out. We will not be re-newing our lease.

Maintenance takes awhile but they're making strides to be better. I'm hoping the parking, trash/dumpster, and rent portal situations begin to improve. I like it here, but it's tough sometimes to keep that attitude.

I Love living here at auburn Gate the community is nice, office staff is proficient and communication is excellent. maintenance completes the work orders in a timely manner and the amenities are the cherry on top! continue being great auburn gate!

I have lived in the community for almost 5 years, and I am very impressed with the new changes. The parking situation has always been an issue during my time as a resident, and I'm pleased it is being. Thoroughly addressed by requiring parking placards for residents and passes for guests. I believe this will also keep any uninvited trespassers out of the community. Furthermore, I'm quite pleased with all experiences I have recently had with staff, from maintenance to office staff. Excellent work!

The grounds are kept clean and maintenance is quick to respond. Parking is a little difficult and sometimes causes a little hike to my building.

The community at Auburn gate is very family like and super friendly. I remember when it was my move-in day, I had random strangers keep asking and insisting that they help me move my stuff into my apartment. The staff was very welcoming, friendly and helpful in solving any problems I had with my apartment as well.

Staff did not meet promised deadlines (I.e “we’ll get this paperwork done by tomorrow” turned into two extra days with no updates unless asked for during the application process). The apartment has been very very nice so far, but I did notice staff left something in one of 2 bathrooms that clogged it, and neglected to fix a door that was promised to be fixed during showing. Only spent one night here so far.

I love the amenities and location of these apartments. Even if there are some things that need work, that's how it is everywhere you go. They plan great community events and are looking to make it a great living experience. Would recommend to anyone looking for a place in the area! :)

I enjoy living here. It’s quiet and perfect for me and my dog. Neighbors are friendly as well as others in the community I’ve come across. I love the convenience of the small dog park in the complex. I absolutely love it here. The units are nicely updated, spacious and very well maintained. The setting of the buildings are spread out throughout the property that feels very private and park-like. The amenities are great, including the dog park, pool, tennis courts, etc. The staff is friendly and has been easy to work with. Although I can sometimes hear the tenant above me walking around, it’s mostly quiet and it feels safe here. I wouldn’t live in any other apartment community.
