Property Ratings at Ashton Ridge Apartments
Ashton Ridge is currently undergoing renovations in all units. During the initial meeting with tenants to explain the changes being made, there was mention of "interruptions." What I have witnessed is nothing short of a blatant lack of respect for the privacy of the tenants and the tenants in general. On several occasions, workers have entered my apartment without giving notice at all as well as outside dates of given notices (not showing up when notice says they will and failing to provide sufficient notice for rescheduled dates.) This is highly unacceptable, rude, and plain unsafe. These people are given keys to the apartments - giving them access to our living space at any time in the day. The lack of supervision of the workers and respect to tenants is appalling.The workers could absolutely care less about keeping to the posted schedule. Tenants are never made aware of any changes made to the schedule; workers are NEVER where the notices say they will be. Other times I've come home to find all of my lights on - tenants DO pay consumers, mind you - having been gone for 8 hours of the day. I have come home to find my bedroom door open, knowing I kept it closed when I left, the bed shifted and my blankets and sheets thrown off as well as personal belongings not in the place I left them. I have called several times to file complaints. 1st: even the office staff was clueless about installations being done in my entire building for that day. Both the 2nd and 3rd times I had to leave a message - my calls were never returned. These calls were placed during office hours but no one ever answers the phone! Most days I work during office hours so I am unable to go in. Whenever I have the time, they always manage to not be there or are "out for lunch." There has been no evidence of these issues being broached or resolved - obviously not since even after all installations are finished, people are STILL walking in whenever they please. Let me just say that previous management would have had this handled immediately. I do not feel safe in my apartment. The fact that the office staff clearly doesn't care about the tenants is glaringly obvious. I would not recommend Ashton Ridge - much less Eagle Point Management - to ANYONE.
I spent nearly the past ten years here, was never late on rent, was never a disturbance to the community, and enjoyed my neighbors. New management took over, they decided to renovate the entire complex with a $7 million grant given to them by the state of Michigan. Everything has gone wildly downhill. There's not an ounce of compassion from the people in charge. They honestly couldn't care less about the well-being of their tenants. People have been living out of boxes for the past few months, with no end in sight. My breaking point was when they allowed a flooring/carpeting team enter my unit without notice, damaged personal property in the process, and refused to take responsibility (stating that I should've had renter's insurance). I'm not the only one living under distress because of Eagle Point Management's lack of compassion and empathy. Apparently, these people have never heard that it's easier to keep an existing customer than it is to find a new one. It's only a matter of time before they're hit with a class action lawsuit.
They suck at keeping up the rules. Someone gives a complaint and they dont follow thru. Dogs pooping all over and tenants not cleaning it. Inconsiderate tenants letting kids run through apt, sounds like a herd of elephants. They just dont care about taking complaints seriously.
The web sight was great gave detailed informtion. However I had sent a few emails through the web sight as I was interested in the avaliblty but NEVER heard anything back..no sorry we have nothing avalible..no thanks for your interest ...nothing
I am a current resident at Ashton Ridge Apartments and I have to say that I am very disappointed in this place. When I was first shown that apartments, I was impressed! Spacious rooms, large kitchen and bathroom and just homey! I couldn't have been more excited to move in. After just a few months I got more and more dissatisfied. The neighbors are just horrible, the walls are thinner than paper, the maintenance says they will do one thing and 5 months later they finally do it, all the screens are bent in the windows and you wouldn't believe the bugs, (maintenance said they would fix them but never did) and the smell... I am a non-smoker and live in an apartment surrounded by smokers and my apartment smells like I light up four packs a day, that tells you how thin the walls are. I could go on and on but I don't have that kind of time.
I stopped by Ashton Ridge because I saw it off of the highway and it looked very nice. However I was told my income was too high. Your office staff recommended other complexes and even provided a directory. I thought that was so nice.
