Property Ratings at Ashley Woods
I am about to move out of Ashley Woods after a year of living there. My experience living at the property has been subpar at best. They do not care about the tenants. A few examples of what has happened since I moved in: 1. Old management lied about my apartment having a washer and dryer so I had to buy both. Complex only has four washer and dryers in the laundry room. 2. When I moved in, in June 2022 my apartment wasn't ready, I didn't have a stove or fridge (took maintenance multiple days to put both in). 3. Don't expect maintenance to fix your work orders fast or at all. I still have work orders open from April that were never fixed (so two months since they were opened). 4. Lastly, I had a leak in my apartment, Ashley Woods did very little to work with me to clear the mold in my apartment. FYI I still have mold in my apartment two months after the leak. I had to pay for a home inspector out of my own pocket twice, they offered to give me a new apartment but I had to pay for the move which didn't make sense because I am moving out of state. I told them to clear the mold of the apartment which they refused to do and said if I wanted to terminate my lease I could, which I can't til the school year is over (I work for the school district in Greensboro). Also management never informed me that the previous tenant in my apartment moved due to water leak and they suspected mold. Which would have been beneficial to know before I moved in. Had I known I would've found somewhere else to live. To wrap this up, whoever reads this: Do not move to this property there are problems all over the complex. Trash all over, unleashed dogs, heard from other residents that have had no AC or heat in months, others have mold in there apartments that is visible and the property manager or maintenance are not doing anything to fix these issues. Yes, they are under new management (Damsen Residential) but I've tried to contact the company to let them know about my experience and no one has returned my call, I have spoken with the regional manager CJ and he wasn't responsive in a timely manner and didn't provide proper information. I hope this review helps everyone looks to rent a apartment here, which you shouldn't. Find somewhere elese!

My experience here at Ashley Woods was unsatisfactory. This place needs a complete overhaul of the apartments. The pictures that are listed on their website showing the inside of the apartments is Not even close to what you get when you move in. It’s all false advertisement. Management and the owner of Ashley Woods should be ashamed to rent these run down rat hole apartments. All the appliances date back to 1970’s, they spot paint when a resident move out and a new move in, the window blinds are old and dry rot, there are squirrels and rats running around in the ceiling, stair wells are dark at night with no light, very spooky (possible robbery if someone is hiding), dust, dirt and trash in parking lot, police out there every other day, electrical wall sockets don’t work, power bill is expensive due to old wiring, peeling paint and the list goes on. If you can go somewhere else to live Please do. Ashley Woods is the worst place to live in Greensboro.

Ashley woods have came a long way for the better. Julie and Kerstain in the office are amazing team. They work hard and get stuff taking care of. Every time I need work done in my apartment they sent the maintenance guys over right way. Since I have been sick the lady always check in on me. Thank you ladies for being so compassionate and caring towards the tenants out here.

I have recently went to view Ashley woods and a lot has change the grounds look clean, there no more people hanging out, and I love the new club house and gym that has been fixed. I really can not wait to move in soon. The management team are really great. Julie and Kerstain really a nice and sweet ladies they are very bright and warm people. I've only been here a month. I have complained over and over there is a roach problem. They blame it on the vacant apartment below me. They don't dog into the problem. All you hear is they spray. I'm disgusted by this and want to break my lease.

I have lived here for yrs. I have had a hole in my ceiling and the shower has leaked the whole time I have been here. The new office manager is never in and when she is there she gets nothing done. As of right now I have power to only parts of the Apt and she asked me if I had called Duke power to find out what was wrong! What is wrong is this morning maintenance came to fix the fact I didn't have power in the living room and has left the apt like this. What was I told? The electrician will be here in the morning. Don't move here it is the WORST place to live!!!

I've been living here for 5 years. In those five years this complex has had 3 different owners. That within itself says allot. It's extremely difficult to get the present owners to fix anything. They only do the bare minimum in repairs. The turnover in repairmen is ridiculous. It seems like every 4 to 6 months a repairman quits and a new inexperienced one is hired. The complex is more concerned about capacity than quality. Certain buildings are better than others, but as a whole, these apartments are not a great place to be. The only difference between these apartments and the projects is the price of rent. Would you want to raise your children where half of the residents smoke marijuana or use some type of recreational drug? Every year the pool doesn't open until mid summer. The playground is in need of serious repair. There are potholes through out the parking lot. Their is also a heavy police presence... Just like the projects. I would not recommend these apartments to anyone.
