Property Ratings at Ashford Park Apartments
The staff rarely answers the phone (even during business hours). When you call on the weekends for their 24 HOUR EMERGENCY MAINTENANCE the phone just rings. The property/office manager is worthless and will not handle any noise complaints or even bother to call you back. The "gated" community is a joke also. The gate is rarely closed. There was a problem with people trashing the pool area and the solution to this was to just "fill the pool in and close it" The manager for SouthCorp Properties won't call you back either so DO NOT waste your time!!! There are also derelict vehicles all over the complex and occasionally they get towed. If you aren't into smelling marijuana every time you go in or come out of your apartment do not move there! There is a plant nearby that smells like dead fish too. Just FYI
bug problems and they say an exterminator comes once a month but they don’t. you have to pay them to come out another day. not luxury. small bedrooms/kitchen. no space. people in the office are no help idk what they’re getting paid for. they don’t help w any issues. also some of them are very rude on the phone. also do not pay rent over they phone they charge like $30. water bill was high the first 2 months living here and after i went to talk to them about it they corrected it all of a sudden. suspicious... definitely a money hungry apt. stomping and banging constantly from the neighbors called about it and they told me they can’t do anything about it bc it’s not during quiet hours which it is. only lived here a few months and definitely want to move asap.
Today we received a letter stating to have decks cleared off before Monday feb 11. The letter was dated back January 5th, for a month they have had this letter prepared but decided that today would be ideal to put them on our doors we personally have very little time to prepare for this and our deck has heavy objects on it, various plants, etc. Our apartment is on the third floor. I would definitely prefer better communication, and as our gated community has a gate that isn’t in operation more often than is, our apartment complex just seems to have issues opon issues, I love my apartment it’s just going down hill kind of fast and it has only been in operation since 2016.
Lived here for for 7 months. When I first moved in I was so excited because it is such a great location and it’s a gated community. When we finally signed the paperwork and got the keys to the apartment, we walked in and instantly noticed that they have no lights installed in the living room or bedrooms. There isn’t even anywhere to put up your own lights or fans even though they have light switches on the walls that don’t connect to anything. 6 months into living here, I noticed mold under the sink (somewhere where I never I look or store anything) and I investigated even more and the sink had been leaking. Management took them three days to fix because I guess when you call the “emergency maintenance” line, they don’t like to report why you called and that you need something fixed. Also, don’t even try to call the office because unless the manager is there, no one picks up the phone. You can’t pay your rent online without being charged 3%. Or you have to go into the office and pay. The master bedroom in the 2bd 2bth is tiny. My king size bed barely fits in here and I can’t even open my closet door all the way. I wouldn’t recommend this place to my worst enemy. It has been nothing but trouble moving in here.

When you are giving a tour we explain how the outlets work ect. So should have been no surprises with lighting or outlets. Also, with all new move ins, we ask everyone to go do a walk thru to make sure they are pleased with the apartment and also to make sure they are no surprises on the size of the apartment or any other issues. The management is great and the community is quiet and very friendly. The staff really go out of their way to make you feel welcome and is always available when needed. Apartment are going fast so hurry and be a part of a great community.
I moved in initially because it was close to work but this has proved to be a great decision all around. The staff is friendly and always welcomes you with a smile. The apartment is spacious and nicely laid out. They are solid built apartments as well, I never hear my neighbors. The additional amenities are added pluses. The pool is gorgeous, gym is always nice and clean and the theater room is very nice. It is also a very safe location. I walk my dog sometimes at 2am and have never had an issue. Lots of food choices close enough to walk to which is great. I highly recommend this complex.
