The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Ashbury Court
Everything within sight is clean, although, under the stove was not cleaned. After using a black-light on the carpet, a large section of mystery splatter was found. The unit I was shown had 2 wall a/c units and upon my move in, I was informed that is not always the case. "I could purchase one at my expense." One thing that is very off putting is the smell of sewage backup after rainfall. I have been here for sometime now and have yet to meet any neighbors. All I know is that the people to my side like to blast mariachi and the people above my unit have children that run like they have cinder blocks tied to their feet. All in all, the apartment is acceptable, but if I'd had more time to find a place I'd probably lease elsewhere. The area seems safe, with close proximity to parks and shopping.
This apartment complex is generally really good. It is great for its convenience to Northern Illinois University, being less than 2 miles away, and is well-maintained and clean. If you are looking for a complex that is responsive to your needs, however, Ashbury Court is not necessarily on top of the ball in this respect. For maintenance needs, it takes weeks before someone will come to fix things! It can be very frustrating. Another down-side to living close to campus is the college crowd. Ashbury Court is a very popular complex for college students, not as family oriented as other places might be. There is coin-operated laundry on the premises, and all apartments are affordable and have some utilities paid. All-in-all, a decent place to live!!
