Property Ratings at Ascent St. Petersburg
Halle is great, she works very hard but needs more help. Communication with management is very poor. We watched thousands of dollars be wasted on the gym flooring while never seeing any improvements. There is ripped seating on gym equipment and the worst quality assessors I’ve ever seen. No sauna. No hot tub. There has been 2 pool party residents since being here an entire year. That’s unacceptable for what we pay in rent. As is the lack of amenities. Elevators are frequently down and there should have always been 4 elevators for the amount of floors in this building. Very poor planning. Good location, views, and enjoy the floor to ceiling windows. Jannus is very loud.
Definitely ups and downs to living here. Location is key. Building is nice, but mail system is Fetch and there needs to be a 24/7 door person. Willie is awesome but can’t be there everyday.
I am about to move to my 3rd unit here. I was facing South, then I moved to a 6th floor with a terrace and now I am moving to the North side which has a great view! So you know I must really like it here!
Location is great, people are friendly and staff is super helpful. I would recommend moving here if you want to be in the middle of the action in St Pete. I work from home and I rarely need to get in my car

So far I’m a really happy here. Love my view of the pier and the city. Plenty of parking. The people I’ve met have been really nice. I fit all my stuff in my unit so I didn’t have to get a storage unit.
Everyone has been very helpful and professional assisting me with my move to the Ascent. Looking forward for my move date and joining the community

This place could be elite. However, people who live here seem to think their mom lives here to pick up after them (specially in gym). Also, sick and tired of getting on elevator and people not picking up after their dogs. The positives: great location. beautiful building. very nice staff.

We have been a resident at the Ascent apartments in St Pete for almost two years now. The location is perfect and the views are spectacular. Maintenance has been great, especially Brendan who is very professional and a well mannered person. Always receive extra care.

Don’t rent in this building. Period. It is NOT a luxury building, and definitely not worth the rent. The elevators are horrible. You’ll be waiting an inordinate amount of time day and night for packed elevators. They allow a tow truck to roam the private parking garage. My car was towed; I went out and it wasn’t there! It was towed because I parked “outside the lines” (it was near a stone pillar and I had to be able to get out). No warning put on the car, no call, no email. They have our cars on file and it would have been very easy to find my number and alert me if anything was amiss. The staff didn’t care(Carla in particular), told me I deserved it, and even seemed kinda happy it happened. I paid almost $500 the day before Christmas to get my car out of the pen. At the tow company, there was a whole line of Ascent residents- it wasn’t just mine that was towed. One woman was crying so hard, and it was the elderly mother of a resident of the building who was visiting for the holidays. This shouldn’t happen in a “luxury” building. In our 50s, my husband and I have rented apartments everywhere, searching for a good second home and city. Take my word on this: don’t saddle yourself with an apartment building where their investment in you is bottom priority and doesn’t even pretend like you’re a valued part of its community. There are too many actual luxury buildings in St Pete where you will be treated well, valued, and advocates for you. There just is no reason WHATSOEVER to settle for this place.
The building and neighbors are great. Every unit is beautiful. But….. the amazing onsite management and staff are just the best. Hallie and the team at the leasing office are always ready to help with any issues promptly. Willie and Mike are a fantastic security team and Mustafa and the maintenance team are great to work with too. With this many residents, something is always needed. Luckily, we have a great team that keeps our world turning 24/7!

This complex is terrible. I went over 7 weeks straight without heat and ac. I’ve been unable to open my only door outside to the balcony due to this. Management is horrible. We have had 4 turnovers of management in the last 2 years. The elevators are always broken so it takes 20-30 minutes to get an elevator. There is constantly dog pee and poop all over the property. They also charge hidden fees monthly that they do not disclose in your lease. This is definitely not luxury living for the price you pay to live here.

Although the building is beautiful and well-laid out, there are too many significant issues to support the luxury pricing. The gate to the garage is perpetually broken and stuck in the open position (for months at a time); as a result the garage is used by non registered vehicles on a regular basis and makes parking difficult for residents. The doors that lead from the garage into the building do not lock; this has been an unaddressed security issue since beginning of November. It is even more serious when the garage gate is stuck in the open position. The response by management is that they are “waiting for the parts to fix the faulty locking mechanisms”. These are acute security issues as the building is in busy downtown St Pete (excellent location) and anyone can drive or walk into the garage and enter the building on floors 2-5.

I've lost a few packages already and I think someone needs to be in charge of the mail room so the residents dont have to dig through piles and piles of identical packages.

Good experience but too expensive. The amenities are nice and it’s a great location, but hard to justify the rent. My lease is coming due, I would like to stay but my guess is they will up the price.

From the start, Halie, who took me on my tour, was amazing, insightful, and understanding of my reason for having to move (Hurricane damage to my house). After the tour and being shown all there was to offer, it was an easy and quick decision to make the move.

Great location in the middle of downtown st. pete. Very beautiful to look at from the street, towering over the other nearby buiildings. All lit up at night which is very pretty.

I am so happy to be living at Ascent. From the first appointment I had to look at apartments to my move in date the leasing staff of Juan and Halle were beyond phenomenal in every way and continue to be so! My apartment was spotless and looked brand new! The residents all seem very kind, helpful and friendly! Truly a great downtown experience all around!

I love it hear. I weathered two hurricanes here. Everyone on the staff if very nice. They are working around the clock to fix things up after the two storms in a row that we recently had!

I’ve been here since the building originally opened and there’s been a few hiccups, expected and unexpected, but overall my apartment has been wonderful, the office staff that remains is great, especially the new addition with Willie he’s wonderful. The maintenance staff is absolutely otherworldly. They all deserve raises. And my neighbors that I’ve met a lot have turned into forever friends ?
