Nestled in the Treasure Valley, Boise combines city living with outdoor adventure. Idaho's capital city features a thriving downtown alongside the Boise River Greenbelt, which winds through the city for 25 miles. The nearby Boise Foothills offer extensive hiking and biking trails. The housing market includes historic North End bungalows and downtown condominiums, with current rental rates averaging $1,455 for a one-bedroom apartment showing a 2.4% annual increase. Notable areas include the Hyde Park district with its historic charm, the tree-lined East End, and Southeast Boise near Boise State University.
The "City of Trees" features numerous parks and green spaces, including the 89-acre Julia Davis Park, which houses Zoo Boise and the Boise Art Museum. The city's cultural scene includes the seasonal Idaho Shakespeare Festival and performances at the restored Egyptian Theatre. The historic Basque Block preserves and celebrates one of North America's largest Basque communities.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Ascent East End
Location is great! Close to downtown and parks! The complex has a pool that is well maintained, a gym with newer equipment and cardio machines, a club house right next to the pool, and laundry on-site. Management is great! They are actually located at the project and always ready to help.
We moved in about 7 months ago, and absolutely love the schools, and the area. Its really quite, which is nice being downtown and still being able to get away from the noise.

We went to tour this community and fell in love with it. Its an affordable option in downtown Boise, and the staff just made it even more appealing. We rented a 2 bedroom here and so far its been the best! Highly recommend this place!!!

Title. Rules are not enforced here by anyone. This property management company apparently allows mastiff and other very large breeds. This is not a safe place for small dogs as leashing on the property is never enforced.
Property Manager at Ascent East End, Responded To This Review
Thank you for sharing your concerns. We understand how important it is to maintain a peaceful and safe environment for all residents. Our team is committed to enforcing community rules and addressing any issues that arise. We also follow specific guidelines regarding pets, including size and breed restrictions, and we're sorry if that hasn't been communicated clearly.
The apartment, although outdated, has a good location. The management is the absolute worst I have ever experienced. Maintenance requests have been ignored for months. I have been forced to wash my infant child’s bottles in the dark for months and unable to cook for my family. Before the lights went completely out, our dear friend experienced a very severe seizure due to the poor lighting. Zero effort is made by the manager. Dog wastes pile the sidewalk and garbage is flowing out of people’s apartments as well as near the trash receptacle. The neighbors are blasting music all night and day and still, management does nothing. The grounds have not been cared for in months and still the manger does nothing. This apartment used to be a wonderful home for our family but since the new management has taken over we are trying to get out of here as soon as possible. Unliveable conditions!
