Tucked in the northwest corner of Cook County, suburbs such as Hoffman Estates, Palatine, South Barrington and Schaumburg vary widely in personality and composition. Schaumburg, the largest in population, is home to Ikea and Woodfield Mall, the largest mall in the Chicago area. Palatine, developed on a wooded marshland, comes in at a close second in size. Hoffman Estates, while smaller, is the most densely populated of the four suburbs and is home to AT&T's Midwest headquarters and Sears Holding Corporation. South Barrington, tiny in comparison, and arguably the most affluent in the area, is home to the famous mega church, Willow Creek Community Church.
Heavy traffic can double or triple commute times, so area locals know to check the highway reports before leaving home. Normal drive time into the city from this area is about 30 minutes via the Interstate 90 tollway. An easy 20 minute drive will take residents to O'Hare International Airport.

This is the third apartment I've lived in, in the area, and it's been the best so far. No issues whatsoever, and the entire staff has been amazing. The apartments and complex too are beautiful and spacious. Slightly pricey, but what isn't nowadays.
My experience with Arbor Lakes for the first and second time moving in and out has been wonderful. I like the location.

Honestly not a bad spot, nothing to complain about either. I get help form landlords when need, not that I have needed anything but a key replaced. Neighbors all keep to themselves and are polite. The grounds could definitely use some more upkeep.

I have lived in Arbor Lakes for over 15 months and my experience has been great, the staff is very approachable and helpful (jamie and James) and the maintenance team is very quick in attending request and repairs. There is a big sense of community, and the office takes the job to create activities to incentive this environment. I would highly recommend rent in this property.

Arbor lakes is a great community to live at, apartments are spacious and cozy. Its location is amazing and there is a lot of nature around the property. Very safe and family friendly. Laundry could be challenging but besides that it’s great living here.
I like this place. It's quite. There is a lot of space for cars. The mainters work fast and very good. I feel safe here.

This was my first time going through the apartment process. The staff that assisted me was very helpful and responded in a very timely manner which made the whole process much easier for me. I thought the pricing was fair for the location and services provided. Overall everything met my expectations and my experience over the last month has been very good.

Do not rent here! Waste of money for what you get , you will have your packages stolen and or up to your vehicles broken in to or stolen as well. Worst place I’ve ever been and I’ve lived in the hood.
People here are smoking inside the apartments. Be aware before choosing this variant, everything else is good or even excellent.
Arbor Lakes is a family friendly(including pets) community. The apartments have a lot of nice appointments, and well maintained. The office staff is friendly and helpful.

The Arbor Lakes community seems not to have alarming situations except for a few minor instances that are understandable. However, on the part of security, I believe there's need for improvement. The maintenance team is quite responsive and they show up on time

I like my experience living with my family at Arbor’s Lake apartments. Beautiful outside views with their ponds, small fountains and green arbors. Nice place to walk. Pool. Play ground. Cosy apartments, 24/7 maintenance apartments, receptive management, nice appliances. I had that feeling that this is my home and I’m valued like resident. This is very important.

The maintenance team are so fast and does the job well. Whenever I request maintenance, they’ll call me right away or less than 24hrs to schedule a visit. Cruz and Jose helped me a lot with maintenance issues.

A great place to live. My apt faces the creek and I enjoy listening to the waterfall. The mgmt is excellent and always available with a smile
