Lake Apopka, a quaint neighborhood near Orlando, Florida, surrounds the very large Lake Apopka. The north side of the lake is entirely encompassed by a nature preserve, Lake Apopka North Shore. The loop trail at the preserve covers more than 20 miles for great hiking and biking opportunities, as well as extraordinary bird watching. Right off the east side of the lake, you’ll find the University of Florida's MREC (Mid-Florida Research and Education Center).
On the northwest side of Lake Apopka, Green Mountain Scenic Overlook and Trailhead loops around for about 16 miles, giving Lake Apopka’s residents even more great hiking adventures. Clay Island Trailhead is another park option for outdoor recreation in the area. With boat ramps all over the shore of Lake Apopka, this is the perfect location to rent for an adventurous, outdoorsy lifestyle.

We rented this apartment site unseen. We moved from Nebraska to Florida. I did a lot of research prior to making my decision. What sealed the decision was Tatiana when we spoke over the phone. My rental experience at Apex has been great since my husband and I moved in over one year ago, we love it so much we have renewed our lease and will be transferring to a larger unit in a few months so that additional family members enjoy the larger apartment and amenities at the Apopka Apex location. We are near the Orlando area so every thing is a short drive away from home including the beaches. The staff is great and all online work order requests are completed in a timely manner.

Moving into Apex Apopka has been a wonderful experience. Courtney from the leasing office was incredibly kind and professional, ensuring the process went smoothly, even with the last-minute apartment change. It's a fairly quiet community, the common areas are beautiful and have everything we need for a good rest and fun, very comfortable in fact, the only thing missing to be perfect is a park for the children, always a place to breathe peacefully.

It’s a great community. They do several food trucks and activities like summer pool parties and Christmas parties to get to know other neighbors. The maintenance does a great job too.

I love this place, it's relaxing, beautiful views, connected with nature and a life of luxury, many events in the community, a very large gym with space for yoga, I love the chocolate milk from the machine, very delicious, a viewpoint where you can reserve for family events or go whenever you want to enjoy the views and relax in the hammocks.

While Apex may look beautiful on the surface, living here has been a terrible experience. The community is full of disrespectful residents who don’t care for the amenities. For example, the outdoor TV was broken and has never been replaced or fixed. Security is another major issue some people have tried breaking into cars at night, and the gate is constantly out of service, leaving the property unprotected. The apartments themselves are poorly constructed. I can hear everything from the neighbors above me, including their alarm clock every morning and every single footstep throughout the day. It’s beyond frustrating and makes living here unbearable. Overall, the management needs to take more responsibility and improve the quality of life for residents. I would not recommend Apex to anyone.

Regarding the outdoor TV, a replacement was ordered; however, it arrived damaged during shipping. Unfortunately, holiday shopping delays have caused further setbacks, but the replacement is expected to arrive by the end of this week. We’ll ensure it is installed promptly. On the issue of security, we understand how important it is to feel safe in your home. We’re actively working on long-term solutions for the gate and evaluating additional security measures to address concerns like attempted car break-ins. We also hear your frustration about noise levels. While some sound transfer is unavoidable in multi-level apartments, we have never received any noise complaints from your apartment. We are only able to address noise concerns if they are brought to our attention. Your feedback is invaluable as we work to make Apex the best place to live.
