Maintenance issues always handled promptly within 24 hours.

The Amelia is located in Quincy Center. For us that means that our medical offices are in the next building, together with our credit union offices. The US Post Office is a block away; the public library is a block away; there is a park across the street with fountains; the City Hall of Quincy is in the park; food shopping is two blocks away on Southern Artery; there are nearby restaurants, coffee shops, convenience stores, a dry-cleaning shop that does alterations; the Red Line of the MBTA is across Hancock St, a block away. In other words, for us the location is excellent! We enjoy the view to the east--we can see Fore River Bay, the sail boats, Quincy Bay, the eastern part of Boston, shipping, air traffic into and out of Logan. The YMCA with huge swimming pool and all kinds of physical activities to choose from with membership, although the Amelia has its own "workout" room on the 2nd floor. There's a "concierge" service for packages as well as USPS regular deliveries. If you have a dog, there's a dog park. If you like to grill there's a deck with two big gas-fired grills for picnics and private parties. Occasionally there are social events to which all residents are invited. Taken altogether, the Amelia is a wonderful place to live, especially for us, as retirees.

Maintenance issues in regard to apartments in The Amelia are in our experience always dealt with quickly and efficiently whether it's routine changes in heater/AC filters or spot problems like plumbing, appliances, lighting. This makes living here more comfortable and reassuring. Excellent service!

If you can afford the rent you don’t have to look at any other buildings. Living in downtown Quincy is great. I have lived here 50 years and own a house as well. I feel like I am living in a hotel. The mayor has fixed up downtown and everything is close. My view of the Atlantic Ocean is awesome

We--Cynthia and I--love living here. We have an apartment that suits our needs as a retired couple that has a lovely eastern view. We are convenient to our medical offices, credit union, US Post Office, the Crane Library, a park with fountains, Town Hall, easy access to MBTA Red Line, restaurants, YMCA, food shopping. Our car is protected in underground parking. The administration of the building is staffed with smart, efficient and pleasant people who are always ready to help. The maintenance staff know their building, its feaures and technology well. We plan to stay here as long as we can.

Do not live here. The management company does not have your best interest at heart, all they care about is money. We had a horrible move out experience - they screwed up our move out date and when we tried to push back they said that the manager who told us she would change our move-out date wasn't authorized to do so, and we would be charged thousands extra if we stayed past the date they had on file. They would not even allow us to pay a pro-rated amount to stay the extra 10-ish days. The real punch to the face was about 2-3 weeks after we moved out we received an email from The Amelia letting us know we had a remaining balance of about $84 for our sewer bill (which was posted after we had vacated the apartment), no big deal right? The email said we had 30 days to forward them the payment. We attempted to pay through our online portal the same day but since we had already moved out our access was denied. Not even 5 days later we receive a threatening email from a debt collector letting us know our $84 sewer bill had been sent to collections. The Amelia said they send any remaining balances straight to collections after you move out - would've been great to know that beforehand! I can't wait for their response to this review to reach out so we can "make this right", like we haven't been "reaching out" for months with them refusing to work with us on any of these issues. Live literally anywhere else. There are like 10 other luxury complexes within a mile radius - save yourselves the headache and sub-par amenities.

Don't let Amelia try and pass itself off as a brand new building it's not and the price does not reflect that. While the location is great for commuting the appliances are getting older, the AC units are out of date. Also bad design with the windows they don't really open that much

One of the excellent things about living at The Amelia is that if you have something that needs fixing you can either go to the on-line contact or call and speak to one of the office staff and they schedule an appointment with one of their in-house knowledgeable and skillful maintenance men who do the job right and soon.

Terrible maintenance…. The building has been having plumbing issues where no water is available not even hot or cold just no water. also the AC of the building broke down with the apartment at 94°, the only solution that the maintenance person said that go and buy a fan the building is good but the service is maintenance and upkeep is terrible.

The Amelia is an apartment community rather than just a building, The staff is friendly as well as efficient and effective in their service to the people who live here. They have helped us find reserved underground parking after we got our handicapped permit. They've helped us with setting up our electronic rental payments with our bank. They've even knocked on our door with packages from the mail room for us. We love the views of Quincy Bay and the skies in all kinds of weather; our credit union, dentist, the library, Presidents' Square (fountain park), even a Starbuck's are well within walking distance. We are a retired couple who moved to Quincy to be near family. Living here has been a pleasure. Bill and Cynthia T.

It's really great experience to become resident of The Amelia.

I have been leaving in Amelia since 2015 and never felt like leaving this community. Great location, community, office staff and apartments.

My husband and I moved across the country without touring the complex in person. It was a risky move, but one we felt good about because the office staff were so helpful and responsive. We were taken on a video tour, received numerous responses to any question we had, and were very impressed before even moving in. Now we have lived here for a few weeks and are so grateful we chose to live here. It has been amazing! We feel safe, connected and close enough to everything in the community, and continue to receive help about any concerns. I'd recommend the Amelia to anyone.

A great building thats starting to slip in quality.

Ive been an Amelia resident for 5 months, and Im still very happy with my decision to join this community. I was apprehensive about moving during Covid but my fears were unfounded.

The Amelia has been a great place to live the last three years. It's incredibly convenient to the Quincy Center T, tons of restaurants are within walking distance, the building is secure, the underground garage has been quite nice, and the maintenance staff and front office have always been easy to get a hold of and helpful. Love it here!

Great location, modern-looking units and gym, attentive maintenance team. Its also nice that they put together events for the community. One of my favorite things about living here are the sunrises and sunsets that the floor to ceiling windows provide. My only negative experience has been the thin walls. Good luck if you have neighbors with kids because youre going to hear them from your bedroom.

Great amenities, the apartments are new and very spacious. All finishes and appliances are brand new. The management is very friendly and responds quickly to requests. The community is very friendly as well. We love being so close to the Red Line.

The Amelia leasing staff are very friendly and on top of things to make your move-in experience great. Any questions you have they communicate right away. The floor plan we chose is great and the amenities are in great condition.

Amelia is a beautiful apartment, its best because of cleanliness, near to train station , grocery, restaurants, banks, salons etc all at walking distance. It has a jogging track In 2 mins walking distance and Wollaston beach at a few mins drive distance. The apartments are beautiful with full size standing windows , in house washer dryer etc and it has a sun deck n grill lounge too !
