The condition and upkeep of the property were outstanding. Management was attentive and professional

Property management is horrible and rude. Put in maintenance request and barely fixes anything always having problems with head/air/water. Entering without notice

Management is ignorant and lazy and comes up with excuses for everything. Went without heat and ac for multiple months. Mold grew from ceilings. Pee leaked from apartment above. Bathroom stayed flooded.

Vermin and mold thriving in the buildings and management doesn't care. I had to move out just to enjoy life again! Absolutely disgusting, poorly maintained and managed apartments. A massive health and anxiety hazard. Stay away from this place at all costs!

Nothing ever works correctly there's no climate control the power always goes out currently the hot water doesn't work they are not moderately updated. And the management changes their name about twice a year!

Stay from away from this place, management is poor and maintenance man is lazy.

I lived at Alphada Place for about a year and a half, while I was working on a Master's degree program and teaching at Kent State University, and it was by far the worst apartment I had ever lived in. During my first few months there, I had issues with my fridge leaking and a bad clog in my bathroom sink (rendering it unusable). After multiple times contacting the office over the span of a few weeks to have maintenance repair them, I finally managed to get them to come out and fix my sink. The leak in my refrigerator was never fixed during the entire time I lived there. When summer came, I found out that my AC unit wasn't working either. This also took multiple weeks to fix, and because we were hit with a heatwave, I had to go out and buy an AC unit of my own so that I could live in my apartment. When they finally did come out to fix it, they did not install the correct size, so there were one-inch gaps around parts of the unit where bugs could easily get in. To keep that from happening, I had to stuff paper towels around it. Right after giving my thirty-days notice at the end of April, I was notified that I had never paid my heating bill through their third-party billing company. I complained to the office because I had never received a bill, but it turned out that the information was never changed over from a previous tenant, so they dropped all of the late fees. Having such a bad experience and worrying that they would try to screw me out of my deposit, I made sure to have someone stay over with me, and the two of us spent a few days thoroughly cleaning the entire apartment. Even after that, I was given two separate vaguely worded charges on my tenant ledger for "damages/shampoo" ($125 and $85) with no explanation of what they entail. I contacted the office to inquire about what those are for, but I am still waiting to hear back. Based on my experience, I would never recommend Alphada Place or Castle Apartments to anyone, and if you already live there, I would encourage you to document everything as I did.
