Located along the Spokane River in eastern Washington, Spokane combines city living with outdoor recreation opportunities. Downtown's 100-acre Riverfront Park, transformed after Expo '74, features walking trails, the restored 1909 Looff Carousel, and views of Spokane Falls. Housing options span from historic properties in Browne's Addition to newer developments in Kendall Yards. Current rental rates range from $1,046 for studios to $2,364 for four-bedroom units.
The city centers around its natural landmarks and cultural institutions. The University District, home to Gonzaga University, enhances the area's educational landscape. The restored Davenport Hotel and Fox Theater represent the city's architectural heritage. Residents enjoy access to numerous lakes and rivers, with Mount Spokane and four additional ski areas within reach.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.

Property Ratings at Alderwood Apartments
Place is just a cash cow for the property owners. Landlord will try and charge you for things they are responsible for fixing or replacing. Doesn't treat overflowing kitchen sink as an emergency. Which happens a lot on the ground floor. In winter the condensation on the windows is horrendous and will freeze. The solution they have in the lease is to put towels on the sill and deal with the mold.
I just moved here end of June 2020. However i will speak of the few months prior to our move! We were relocating here from another state. After speaking with several apt complexes i found pretty much all of them required a bit of a work history in THIS state (Wa)! We even offered to put more down upfront (money). Yeah not happening.... So i decided ok i will call alderwood apts as i had seen the manager was new and way better. (yep i read all the reviews i can find on a plcae). She was wonderful! Spent time answering my questions, and emails. Of course we told her our situation and after some checking on her end we got the green light to move to this complex! So here we are! We did have a bit of a snafu the night we arrived... toilet flooded. Anyhow she made some calls and we told her we would get up the water... so she came the next day along with the maintenance man and made everything better! So far we like it here. Not to loud really. I do have a neighbor(either above right next to us not sure) who has there bass set to high(radio setting music part not bad just the bass) and it is a bit bothersome. Apartment life though!
Since this property has gone under new management it is wonderful. The new manager Terry is very pleasant and resourceful. This place is worth a look.
Don’t live here if you can avoid it. Management and maintenance are terrible. Concrete stairs crumbled under someone while I was living there. Cars get broken into all the time and the cameras don’t work.
They like to schedule "inspections" on a regular basis as a pretense for invading your privacy.
