Available with a one-year lease, with or without furnishings shown in photos! A charming front porch with rockers and a brick patio provides a welcoming entrance. Hardwood floors are throughout the main level great room and bedrooms. The living room features vaulted ceilings, a decorative (inoperable) fireplace, and the wall mounted TV*. Seat four at the dining table with additional seating at the kitchen’s breakfast bar. The beautiful open kitchen has granite countertops, tile accents, a large under-mount sink, and nice stainless appliances including the gas range, refrigerator, and dishwasher. Plates, other dishware, and flatware will remain for tenant use, but auxiliary kitchen items will not be replaced during the tenancy. The two main floor bedrooms include a queen-size and king-size bed with linens - sheets, blankets, and towels - which will remain for tenant use. The hall bathroom has attractive tile and a large walk-in shower. The laundry closet is off of the hall, and the stacked washer and dryer are included. Downstairs, find a spacious second living room with plentiful seating and a mini-kitchen offering attractive cabinetry, a small sink, and small refrigerator. Floors are stained concrete with area rugs. The spacious 3rd bedroom includes a king-size bed and a deep closet. The full bathroom on this level is nicely tiled with a large vanity and a walk-in shower. Neighborhood

Wedged between the University of North Carolina at Asheville on its northeast side and Downtown Asheville on its southeast side, Historic Montford sits along the French Broad River, boasting elegant historic architecture along its hilly streets. The neighborhood, listed on the National Register of Historic Places, contains more than 600 historic buildings, most built between 1890 and 1920. Many of the homes were built by the same architect who designed the Biltmore, Richard Sharp Smith. The homes range from Victorians to Arts and Crafts to Colonial Revival -- with a castle here and there for a unique style.

Montford developed around 1890 as a small village, but it was annexed by the city in 1905. The oldest home in the neighborhood, the Rankin House, was built in 1846. The Riverside Cemetery, which dates back to 1885, is the burial place of authors Thomas Wolfe and William Sidney Porter (O. Henry). Today, many of the historic homes have been converted into elegant bed and breakfasts.
