For entertainment, Serra Mesa is convenient to Sea World, Balboa Park (home of the iconic San Diego Zoo), and Mission Bay. The neighborhood neighbors Mission Valley, a commercial hub with several malls and restaurants. SDDCU Stadium rests just south of the neighborhood.
