Easy to zip up to Los Alamos, about 32 miles away. ABQ is 54 miles away on excellent highways. Warm in winter, cool in summer from earth tempering. No need for air conditioning. No mosquitoes, yet windows have screen anyway. Excellent ventilation. Unit is a self-contained guest wing of a larger house structure. Meager morning sun, yet great afternoon sun. Some areas of the country would call this a "garden apartment." Private off-street parking, Private courtyard, gardens and BBQ patios. Great for sunbathing if so desired. Quiet. Excellent hiking and mtn bike trails to the north. One can traverse trails to the Rio Grande about 28-30 miles away. Steps involved, well lit at night. Unit has radiant heat, smooth, hard-troweled plaster walls, called "Gypsolite." Fireplace with ducted outside combustion air intake. Twin dampers to minimize heat loss. Pantry for kitchen. Full sized kitchen and appliances. Open floor plan encompassing living area, dining and kitchen. Separate bedroom and bath. Full sized tub/shower. Bisque tile in bathroom. Well vented. Many built in cabinets. Many curves and fine architectural details. Coffered ceiling in bedroom. Four closets, two are cedar-lined. Floors are mostly flagstone throughout unit with oak flooring in the kitchen. Laundry is full sized stacked Frigidaire unit, shared with one other person. Unit is not furnished.
