Conveniently located About Easton Easton is full of parks and playground. It is famous for State theater, State Theater, Larry Holmes and weekend fairs every now and then. Lenni Lenape Indians called Easton as the Forks of the Delaware. Easton sits on the banks where the Lehigh and Delaware rivers merge. The first public reading of the Declaration of Independence outside of Philadelphia took place in 1776 in Centre Square of Easton. The city celebrates the reading’s anniversary each year with beautiful fireworks. A 10-day music festival, held in early August in neighboring Bethlehem is the biggest free music festival in the country. Hugh Moore Park in Easton is one of the few places in the world where you can take a canal boat ride powered by mules. Josiah White II boat is guided by authentically dressed crew members who share the story of canals that once carried coal, and the people who worked on them. George and Hank, the mules, will take you on a 40-minute trip through serene scenery. We have a full size amusement park right at our back yard.
