About This Home
Feel at home in Hygge High Point, a beautifully updated 100-year-old historic home that blends old-world charm with modern comfort. Nestled in the heart of downtown, this retreat sleeps five and features two full bathrooms. As you enter, you’ll be greeted by a bright and welcoming living area featuring a 50” smart TV, a plush brown leather sofa, and two cozy accent chairs. The living area also features a charming decorative fireplace framed by built-in bookshelves stocked with books and board games. Across from the living room is a flexible drop zone, perfect for unpacking or organizing your things. The dining room has a long wooden table that seats six, ideal for family dinners, game nights, or casual morning coffee chats. The newly remodeled kitchen is equipped with stainless steel appliances including a full-size fridge/freezer, oven, stove, and dishwasher, as well as a coffee maker, tea kettle, toaster, blender, pots, pans, knives, chopping boards, dishes, cups, and kids’ utensils. Step through the back door into your fully fenced backyard, a private spot to unwind after a day exploring the city. Enjoy evenings gathered around the propane fire pit surrounded by comfy chairs, the perfect set-up for s’mores and stories under the stars. The home also features preserved hardwood floors, curated boho décor, a smart thermostat with central heating and air conditioning, keyless entry, fast Wi-Fi, and a washer and dryer with complimentary detergent. One dog only (up to 60 lbs) is welcome for a fee of $150 per stay. Hygge High Point is perfectly positioned to experience the best of the city, from design culture and charming cafés to beautiful parks and historic landmarks. It's located 1.5 miles to High Point University, two miles to High Point Museum & Historical Park, 5.5 miles to High Point City Lake Park, and less than one mile to Nido & Mariana Qubein Children’s Museum. The World’s Largest Chest of Drawers, downtown dining and shopping, and the Furniture Capital of the World are all within easy reach. Easy day trips include Piedmont Triad (15 min), Greensboro (25 min), and Winston-Salem (35 min). Due to its central downtown location, occasional city sounds (traffic or sirens) and neighborhood dogs may be heard. The home’s new windows and modern insulation minimize noise inside. Smoking or vaping is not allowed indoors, including cigarettes, marijuana, or e-cigarettes, and any cleaning or damage costs will be charged to the primary guest. No parties or events are allowed, and loud music, rambunctious gatherings, or excessive cars disturbing neighbors are strictly prohibited. Please clean up after your pets and be mindful of barking to avoid neighbor complaints. A cozy office nook just off the kitchen features a desk and chair, perfect for remote work, journaling, or planning your next adventure.
