The town boasts a rich history, with attractions such as the historic Wawona Swinging Bridge, the history village with stagecoach and horseback rides, and the Wawona Meadow Loop for year-round wildlife viewing. Wawona is entirely within Yosemite National Park and is located on the South Fork of the wild and scenic Merced River, along State Route 41 from Fresno to Yosemite Valley. No pets are allowed in the cabin. Firewood is provided in season for the fireplace.
