Although the name implies otherwise, beautiful East Shreveport is located about eight miles south of Downtown Shreveport. East Shreveport begins along a bend in the Red River, directly across from the Red River National Wildlife Refuge, providing locals with easy access to boating and fishing. The neighborhood is also just north of Louisiana State University-Shreveport.
