River Park is more than a South Bend neighborhood -- it's a college community, a riverfront community, and a place where you'll discover some of South Bend's best restaurants and shops. With the St. Joseph River winding along the south side of the neighborhood, River Park also offers gorgeous views of the river, flanked by lush, green parks. It's here you'll discover the Potawatomi Universally Accessible Playground, Indiana University South Bend, and the Potawatomi Zoo.
The South Bend Farmers Market was established in 1924. As the go-to place for residents to find fresh, local produce as well as hand-crafted items, River Park residents enjoy fast access to the market, which is located just outside the neighborhood along Northside Boulevard. Downtown South Bend is roughly two miles northwest of River Park, an easy commute along Mishawaka Avenue.

The GreatSchools Rating helps parents compare schools within a state based on a variety of school quality indicators and provides a helpful picture of how effectively each school serves all of its students. Ratings are on a scale of 1 (below average) to 10 (above average) and can include test scores, college readiness, academic progress, advanced courses, equity, discipline and attendance data. We also advise parents to visit schools, consider other information on school performance and programs, and consider family needs as part of the school selection process.
