Welcome to the Hide-a-way! Pets are welcome! We are 10 acres nestled in the rolling hills of Northeast Alabama - one of two houses on Kornegay Loop – therefore, we are very private, peaceful and serene. It is very remote, yet just 10 minutes from the town of Snead or Walnut Grove. Kornegay Loop is great for walking, hiking and biking. Also, there are trails all through the property. The Hide-a-way Farmhouse Apartment is a farmhouse and woodsy rustic themed 2 bedroom, 1 bath private apartment that has 2 queen beds and a full size futon couch in the living room. It can sleep 6 comfortably. We have linens for all of the beds and there are plenty of towels, pillows and blankets. There is basic internet Wifi (unlimited internet is coming to our area in the next few months! – so please no streaming at this time), cable TV and the TV is a Roku smart TV (bring your own USB stick!), colors & coloring books, games, and Dominoes to enjoy as well. The Farmhouse has all the luxuries of home with a fully equipped kitchenette, that has a fridge with freezer, electric stove top, toaster oven, coffee pot, Keurig (bring your favorite pods), blender, electric skillet, and microwave. We provide basic spices, oil, coffee, tea, creamer and sugar. The kitchenette is equipped with dishes, glasses, wine glasses, pots/pans, baking tins, and utensils. Enjoy grilling steaks or your favorite meal right outside on the patio. The BBQ is propane.
