Property Ratings at 63 W 104th St
Package got stolen and management was totally unresponsive. Property manager yelled over the phone refusing to access or forward camera footage and refused to even notify FedEx to try delivering to the door to avoid theft. craziness
This is not a good place to rent from. - The laundry machine in the rooms don't work, the laundry downstairs has had half of the machines broken since the building opened - The appliances barely work, the stove in the room barely gets hot. - The AC also often breaks and we saw error codes and each time we asked the super to come and take a look they are unable to fix it. - Whenever it snows/rains every hallway will be black with mud and water. - The gym has never been cleaned and literally has piles of dust under the machines. - Over the summer the trash room became so dirty that the city came to inspect numerous times for over three months. There were hundreds of flies on the entire floor and the smell was so bad that you had to hold your breath while walking to the laundry room. - Mail and packages are left on the table and stolen on a regular basis from people who come into the building.
This is the worst building I have ever rented in NYC. The building is only 1 year old and has numerous problems. The appliances are horrible. The stove cannot get hot enough to boil water, the dishwasher has no vent so the dishes never dry, and the washer/dryer also has no vent so dry cycles take more than 4 hours and it cannot even handle towels or bedding. The only appliance that works is the fridge. Numerous apartments had issues with the AC breaking or giving error codes. One unit had the glass shower door shatter and the tenant was severely injured. The super is barely here and the building is constantly dirty. When it snows/rains every hallway will be black with mud and water. The gym has never been cleaned and literally has piles of dust under the machines. The basement laundry room is always dirty and 1 of the washers has been broken SINCE THE BUILDING OPENED. Over the summer the trash room became so dirty that the city came to inspect numerous times for over three months. There were hundreds of flies on the entire floor and the smell was so bad that you had to hold your breath while walking to the laundry room. The stairwell has numerous lights that are out, so you’ll be climbing stairs in the dark. The ‘secure’ storage is left open at all times. Mail and packages are left on the table and stolen on a regular basis from people who come into the building. The building is across from a housing block and there is constantly police activity in front of the building. The list goes on and on. Do yourself a favor and STAY AWAY! If you are interested in renting here, talk to any current resident and they will tell you the same thing.
