As its name implies, East Toledo is located directly east of Downtown Toledo, across the Maumee River. East Toledo is known for its low cost of living and is a great option for renters who want easy access to the heart of the city at a lower price. The neighborhood has a variety of affordable to upscale rental options including lofts, high-rise apartments, and luxury condos. East Toledo has convenience stores, bars, specialty shops, and eateries scattered across the neighborhood. One of Toledo's most cherished restaurants also calls East Toledo home. Tony Packo's, made famous by Toledo native Jamie Farr on the show "M.A.S.H.," serves up some of the best Hungarian chili dogs.
