Neighborhood quarry overlooking ocean. 3-5 min to Plum Cove Beach, Halibut Point, Annisquam Lighthouse, Lobster Pool; 10-15 min to Good Harbor, Wingaersheek, Rockport and Gloucester galleries, restaurants, shopping, theaters. 1 hr to Boston. Specialty market/cafe nearby. This Lanesville mid-century modern home was built in 2007, designed by Paul Lukez. The house is all about light, open space, and fantastic views from nearly every room, onto the Ipswich Bay and Atlantic Ocean. Built in wireless fantastic surround sound on upper and lower floors. The upper floor includes a vaulted ceiling open concept kitchen, dining, and living area with a gas fireplace, stone hearth, a large comfy window seat, and ocean views throughout. Our fully stocked kitchen is designed for serious cooking and entertaining-- with two sinks, two ovens, high end appliances, bamboo cabinetry and a stainless steel/granite island. There is also a beautiful kitchen nook, complete with a built-in desk that has a perfectly unobstructed view of the sea-- not a bad place to work remotely. The dining area has sliding glass doors onto the deck for an open sea air feel and another clear view of the ocean. On the deck, you'll find more outdoor spaces for sea view dining and lounging. The primary bedroom has vaulted ceilings, water views, a queen bed and ensuite bath, including a tiled shower, also with a sea view. On the same floor, there is a second office/bedroom with a built-in, spacious desk, bookshelves, and a newly installed Murphy bed with a new full sized, comfortable hybrid mattress. There is a half bath just outside the bedroom door. The first floor family suite includes another queen bedroom, a large family/TV room equipped with wifi for streaming, a second fireplace, a second full bath with a deep tub/shower, a laundry area, a granite wet bar with a second dishwasher and mini fridge, ample closets and storage, two stone patio areas, a gas grill, an outdoor lounging and dining area, and a large lawn and gardens--each with its own water views. On the third floor of the home, you will find an upper roof deck/lookout, perfect for sunsets, morning coffee, cocktails, cool breezes. We hope you will come to enjoy and appreciate our Cape Ann getaway home as much as we do!
