Property Ratings at 57 Wheeler Residential
Bad soundproofing in walls, floors, and lack of weather/sound sealing doors (unit front door & balcony door). You hear neighbors/noise very often. All sounds echo in the courtyard as well, so you can hear TVs and parties even if they are units away. Packages were stolen a few times since the lobby doors are open to the public during the day and there's no door man to receive packages. There is a locker to secure packages but not all delivery people know how to use it. Sometimes they will deliver to your front door, but since you need a key for the elevator, most of the time they will just leave your delivery in the lobby out in the open. Building gym is a joke - a couple of treadmills, stationary bikes, and dumbells. No tint on windows and existing window treatments are white roller shades and do not block out sunlight. Property manager & maintenance/cleaning staff are fantastic. Pets are allowed. Units have open layouts and are spacious.
Nice open floor plans with the studio units. AT&T fiber Internet is wired in each unit. Spectrum Internet is not available nor wired. Easy access to Gold Line metro and adjacent gym. Management company is more than accommodating. My lease came with a rent discount and a gym membership.
Don't live here if you want your packages to be constantly stolen!!!!! First, the delivery services always have a hard time finding the entrance because the entrance is poorly designed without any sign of it. Second, the elevator is secured, sounds good, right. But there is no secure location for the packages. They would simply leave the packages in the mailroom, and the mailroom is not secured. The only way to deliver the packages securely is to enter a complex code to enter the elevator, but they would not do so. Bingo! Great system to leave the packages being stolen CONSTANTLY.
