Note that the home is offered *unfurnished*. The furniture is from staging. Read along as we describe the unique layout of this amazing home. Perched on a hill, this home has 2 floors, connected by an interior staircase, but the door at the bottom of the staircase can be locked from both sides, meaning the 2 floors can be completely separate living homes, perfect for an extended family, an au-pair, or a separate work area. So you have two choices in how you configure the home: -- As a 2-story ~3000 sq ft home with 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, 1 full kitchen and 1 half kitchen, 2 complete living areas, and 2 large decks with sweeping views. or -- As a duplex with each home on a different floor. The top floor has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a living area, and a large deck. The bottom floor has 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a *half* kitchen, a living area, and a large deck. Note that we are renting the property as one entire unit, not two. We are not renting each floor as a separate unit. Now we'll describe each floor ... The top floor is ~1800 sq ft and is accessed by walking down a flight of stairs from the street level and garage parking. The entryway opens into a large open floor plan with a new granite-countertop kitchen and a living area which opens onto the huge wraparound deck. Also in the living area is the set of stairs that leads down to the bottom floor. Further down the hallway are 2 bedrooms: The first is the primary bedroom, which has an attached full bathroom and opens onto the deck. The second bedroom is smaller, has a Murphy bed, and can work as an office. There is a separate second bathroom as well as a washer/dryer set. The bottom floor is ~1200 sq ft, and you enter it either via the staircase leading down from the top floor, or from the outside by going down a second set of stairs. This floor has a similar layout to the top floor. There is an open-floor plan, with a wonderful combined *half* kitchen (no stove or oven) and living area opening onto the outside deck. Down the hallway are 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms and a washer/dryer. One of the bedrooms has an en-suite bathroom, while the second bedroom and bathroom are both smaller. Again, to make sure this is clear, we are renting the property as *one* unit, not two. As described above, tenants have 2 options in how to configure and use the home: as one 4-bedroom home, or as 2 separate 2-bedroom homes. As its name implies, Woodside is a lush, verdant small town located between San Francisco and San Jose. Woodside is one of the nation’s most upscale towns to live in and is known for its abundance of equestrian centers and natural areas with scenic trails. At Wunderlich County Park, residents have access to open meadows, hiking and biking trails, and stables. You’ll also be able to see the giant redwood trees Northern California is known for. Horseback riding and bicycling are a major part of the local culture. Many residents keep horses on their property, and the town maintains a network of horse trails for everyone to enjoy.
You’ll find locals cycling along roads like King’s Mountains Road or participating in bicycle races like the Tour of California. When you secure your rental in Woodside, you’ll also probably see a celebrity or a Silicon Valley entrepreneur at the town’s tiny commercial center featuring several upscale eateries and bars.
