About This Property
As mentioned above, can rent out full space for 3-6 mo (with possible extension) for $2100, or OR renting all of home except master BR (i.e. you'd have two bedrooms + shared spaces) for $1600, with owner as very part-time housemate (using the master BR as a work studio/retreat space ~3 days/week). More about the space: Especially convenient for anyone associated with Barnes Jewish and/or Washington University, as home is situated half-way between these two institutions, walkable (less than 30 min) to each, less than 1.5 miles to each, as well as the hearts of the Central West End and the Loop, and on the shuttle pick-up line for Wash U. Within a few blocks of Metro, neighborhood coffee shops, bar, and the trails, museums, and cafes in Forest Park. Great spot for a sense of safety, as unit is on second floor in a small buzz-entry building with only a few other neighbors in the building. Home comes fully furnished with an upright piano and a fully stocked and especially awesome cozy kitchen (for real cooking needs, not just AirBnB type basics, and everyone loves hanging out in the kitchen). Gated parking spot in back, free and easy street parking out front as well. Room furnishings can be moved around/out if needed. Preference for mid-term rentals to start - start with 3-6 month lease and open to month-to-month after that. House-trained animals welcome w/ care for furniture and an extra $250 deposit/pet. I'm especially excited to share this sweet hidden gem of a home with folks looking for a warm, safe, homey & cozy place while staying in St. Louis! More about the 2 room rental option: I own the home and live elsewhere, but enjoy using the master BR as my writing/work studio & retreat space, so in this scenario you mostly get the place to yourself, but not the Master BR, and I would be around some (est. 2-5 days a week, & in the 10a-7p range usually. In this scenario I would prefer tenants who are out of the house much of the day &/or quiet & respectful w/ shared space during day). I'm a writer, teacher, podcaster, & coach/consultant. I lived for years in CA but am from STL and moved back recently. Would want home maintained as safe space for LBGTQ+ & BIPOC community. If you have some interest in things like meditation, art, nature, music, poetry, philosophy, & personal & societal healing, you might especially enjoy sharing this home. No addiction issues, no cigarette smoke in house. Well-trained pets welcome.
