Still concerned over how dirty this place has become. Outside windows need to be cleaned. It just does not the feel that owners care about property.
After living in Florida for two years we came back home to Kansas City and 51Main. It’s nice to see so many familiar faces. The community and surrounding neighborhoods are still beautiful.
Appreciate the patience of staff as I have moved in. Love the space! The complex is incredibly well maintained. Love the community spaces and amenities.

Living at 51 Main Apartments has been a very positive experience for me. The location is very convenient for me as a student at UMKC. It’s only a short walk (about 15 minutes) to campus, which makes living here very practical and accessible. The building is well maintained, and the amenities make daily life comfortable. The management team is responsive and helpful whenever questions or maintenance needs come up. Overall, it has been a great place to live, and I would recommend it to others looking for a reliable and comfortable home.

Wondered if outside windows are going to be washed. It has been several years. Also, garage filthy. Isn’t it time to be power washed? It would be nice to see a cleaner environment.

Massive problem with security in the building. During the summer there are constantly non-residents sneaking in to use the pool and courtyard yet there has been very little done to combat these problems. Cars get robbed frequently. WAY overpriced for what is offered. Would NOT recommend.

Security a major issue here and very concerned it will become more dangerous for residents as there is no means to keep random people out of the building.

Great location. So close to Loose Park and restaurants. Has a nice pool and entertainment area. The leasing agent was great to work with and helped us quickly get signed.

The building itself is nice and the location is awesome. The leasing team, although very very nice and do their best to help/accommodate, will make decisions that they can't follow through on, which may cost you $$$. New "amenities" are added (that no one asked for and are very restrictive that they don't even make sense) that you end up getting charged for. They do work really hard to plan/execute community events! That is a PLUS. The events though are during the day/ working hours so i can't ever attend. With all the rent increases, I don't know if this place is "worth it," but the location really is killer. Maintenance team is very responsive and fast- probably the best thing about living here, cause you will be putting in those requests.

Nice building, but rent keeps getting hiked by double digits annually (no negotiation possible), despite car break-ins, and homeless people finding their way into the building to sleep (and they always leave a mess).

There were definitely issues with getting everything together and set up as it should be with parking and keys and utilities. But Paige was on it and made sure problems were resolved and was always helpful and pleasant!
The best apartments in my experience so far. Very comfortable interior, quxmick maintenance services, lot of storage space, safe parking. Rated it 4 just because the rent is a little expensive for us.
Apartment is great itself, love location. Tired of being treated poorly - ignored messages, very unprofessional management. Again, wish it was how it used to be.
Great spot with great staff. Love the pool and all the restaurants and things nearby. It has been very quiet and nice living here. I look forward to staying here for awhile
We stayed at 5050 Main Street this past year. The staff are nice but the quality of the building is substandard and certainly not luxury. To give you a sense of issues we encountered: paper thin walls (we could hear dogs and conversations often), the elevators were often broken down (one was broken for a couple months), fire doors sealed shut because they broke, package room door broken so you could not get packages for several days at a time, building broken into and the package room cleared, vehicle vandalism, moldy ceilings and bi-monthly unit ‘maintenance inspections’. In our instance, we asked to extend our lease a month a few months before our lease expired. We were told our rent would increase from $2,200 month to almost $13,000 per month! Yes you read that right. A more than $10,500 per month increase in rent. Ultimately we chose to move out to not these face extortionate rents. This is what you get from a corporate landlord, poor maintenance low quality and using the tenants like an ATM machine. You can make your own judgement, but be warned.
Have had a great first month! The staff and community are very friendly and the amenities have been great! I would recommend anyone looking for a great apartment in a great neighborhood to check out 51Main!
We really love living at 51 Main! The neighborhood, restaurants, and location are amazing. We’re also enjoying the pool quite a bit this summer!
Love how prompt the management is in resolving any issues. Love all the events. The only thing that we are facing difficulty with is staying on top floor which is quite hot in summer despite having ac on for most of the day. Living on lower floors should be much better in this building
We love living here. If there is a maintenance problem, we just send in a report and it is taken care of. My husband loves the fact that he doesn't have any mulch to spread! I grow herbs on our balcony! We also have great neighbors!
The bicycle room was nearly cleaned out by thieves. Manager sent an incredibly childish email response, so proud of himself with the use of all capital letters. Shocked at his arrogance and immaturity. He actually seemed delighted that the owners would take no responsibility for residents loss. If you move here, do not trust that they look at security cameras. They don’t care.
Fantastic apartment! Great amenities and the kitchen is gorgeous!! The front office seems very responsive to requests. And it is pet friendly!
Very responsive staff, great property and i love the amenities. Secure parking/building, package room, very nice club room and beautifully kept common areas.
So far everything has been great! My apartment was clean when I moved in and the staff has been helpful! Looking forward to using the pool and the other amenities.
Great location. Many restaraunts, groceries and pharmacy within walking distance. Very close to Country Club Plaza and Loose Park. Facilities and apartments are well maintained. Management and maintainance services are responsive and helpful.
Since new management came in, there have been problems. It's nice to meet other residents who also see these issues. Our once-luxurious apartment now has leaks and mold. I want to clarify that this review doesn't blame the maintenance team; they're doing great despite the challenges.

I am giving 4 stars because we love living here and love the location. The recent management has not kept up with the standards we have been used to. I wrote a note to the regional manager but his response was glib and very 'it's not our fault.' I have shared his letter with a number of people who live in the building and they agree. Disappointed in his arrogance.
The staff is very pleasant to work with, the complex is quiet, the location is great, and the maintenance team is fast acting which is hard to find!
Several issues - no tv in party room - ridiculous. Last year pool is not salt water as told in ad - closed too early. Maintenance says for season only - Memorial Day to Labor Day - not up to standards in past. Pool needs to be heated.
I have loved living here so far! Everyone is so nice and the community is such a special place to be. There are so many places to walk to as well!
Timely care of outside areas during foul weather. Sidewalks and porches were shoveled and salted when it snowed. The lights in the trees are so pretty.
Beautiful apartments with amazing staff, great amenities, and incredible shops within walking distance. This is my first apartment and I honestly feel like I've been here forever.
I love living here. Very peaceful and beautiful. Everything is near me so its easy to walk everywhere. Stuff members are really supportive and kind.
Very hopeful there will be minimal changes with our new management. We were sad the pool closed to early. Did not feel residents were thought about with this decision. Been here 4 years and worried why everyone left at the same time.

Clean and quiet building. Love the leasing office staff! So helpful when I moved in! The ease of my move was the best I have had in a long time.

Absolutely no complaints! This place is so great and my expectations are set very, very high. They’re wildly accommodating of every request, have wonderful touches in-unit that I never would’ve dreamt of on my own, and are located in such an incredible area. I could not have constructed a better apartment myself, I mean that.
We lived at 51 main for 20 months and when the time came to leave to move out of state, I wasn’t ready to go. 51 is a community that you can be as involved as you want. It can be just an apartment or it can be a place to make friends, join activities and have fun. I enjoyed both, my friends and the staff, I will miss everyone. If I found myself back in KC, I would definitely consider 51 Main. ???
Fantastic management, dog friendly, prime location- ton of restaurants, short walk to loose park, the post office, plaza, public library and so much more!
I've really enjoyed living here so far! The apartments are quiet, the maintenance staff is fast with fixing any orders, and I feel safe and comfortable living here. Also the area is a great place to live!
