Neighborhood - Cliff Cannon
Spokane's Cliff Cannon neighborhood is located within an urban forest. The area begins in the city itself and then climbs up South Hill, encompassing four parks, three business centers, three hospitals and a number of historic homes. The Cliff Cannon Neighborhood Council governs the area, working in tandem with the Spokane City Council.
Cliff Cannon Foods was founded in the neighborhood. It was there that Mary Lou Higgins Henderson created the dip that eventually served as a cornerstone of the food company, founded in 2012 by Henderson's daughter and grandson. The dip is a favorite among Eastern Washington residents.
