Welcome to this newly renovated triplex in the Coconut Grove neighborhood of Kailua. Come live in Kailua, 10 minute drive to Kailua Beach Park, Lanikai beach and a 15 minute walk from Kalama Beach. Whole Foods, UFC Gym, and countless other coffee shops/restaurants/local businesses are in Kailua Town Center, ~15 minute walk away. ~5 minute drive from MCBH and quick freeway access to Pearl Harbor Hickam. This ADU is newly built (4 years old), and in excellent condition. It has new appliances (dishwasher and washer/dryer in unit) and a bathtub to soak in. Upstairs has a small balcony with space for a small table and chairs to enjoy the scenery. The unit is in the back of the property and not visible from the street and has its own small yard. $300/mo for Solar, Water, Sewer, Trash, Streaming Services and Internet: There is substantial solar PV and batteries on the property - this is a huge benefit. Most people's electric bills alone are $200-300/mo (or more) due to our extremely high electric rates. Our solar typically offsets $250-300/mo in electric bills per unit. If there is an electric bill, we split it evenly between the 3 units unless one unit is obviously using far more than the others. Landlords live onsite and are very quick with fixing anything. Full kitchen features new appliances. Mini-split ACs in both bedrooms and in living area/kitchen. Outdoor space has crushed marble rock with tropical landscaping, indoors has 2 bedrooms and 1 bathroom with bathtub. There is a mini-split AC in the two bedrooms and one in the living room/kitchen area. We have an EV charger (Tesla) that we can share and ask $50/mo extra to offset the energy use. Unit is unfurnished. Property has battery backup, so power outages are not likely. Power typically goes out 1-2 times/mo in Kailua briefly, and 2-3 times per year for ~1 hour or more. Our property hasn't had an outage since the batteries were installed. Neighborhood is very quiet and peaceful, minimal through traffic since the street is a loop with no outlet. Cats ok with additional deposit, but no dogs.

In Kailua it’s all about the beach. Some people move in and hardly ever make the 30 minute drive into Honolulu. The white sands, blue waters, and swaying palms erase all thoughts of a world with skyscrapers, airliners, and bustling city streets. You’ll also find commuters that work in Honolulu but prefer the quiet life in their down time. The Marine Corps Air Station Kaneohe Bay is next to Kailua and accounts for a number of the families that call this laid back beach town home.

Kailua is much smaller than Honolulu and that’s part of the charm. The main part of Kailua runs from Kailua Beach Park east to the Enchanted Lake neighborhood. Lanikai fronts part of Kailua Beach and is one of the most popular areas. It’s known for its eye-popping water views and assortment of long or short term vacation rentals.
