Property Ratings at 450-460 N Austin Blvd
This one-bed apartment is huge, with a large bedroom and larger living room with bay windows facing East. There is always a lot of natural light during the day as well as a breeze that keeps the apartment cool. Hardwood floors and ample closet space throughout. The kitchen, though small and lacking counter space, has cute built-in shelving, a large sink with drying area, and an adjacent small dining area which is perfect for a small breakfast table. This is an older building, but that also means there are cute features like the ice-boxes outside each apartment and that the windows are all counter-weighted. Last but not least, the apt. is located less than a quarter of a mile from the Green Line with easy, less than 30 minute commute times to downtown.
This building I live in is close to transportation and a hospital. There is a bus that runs until twelve midnight. I have live here for thirty years the building is old but is kept in good condition. The neighbors don' stay long because they are usually doctors needing someplace close to the hospital. The owners of the apartment are very friendly and caring people. Also maintance issues are taking care of very quickly. there is a Center for children playground and if you like walking about a mile there is downtown Oak Park.
