About This Property
Comfortable 2 bedroom condo with great amenities and an excellent location - one block from the Euclid-Maryland intersection at the center of the CWE, 3 grocery stores within a 10min walk, 15-20min walk to the Wash U medical campus, 10min walk to Forest Park. Fifteen foot-high ceilings, a wood burning fireplace, in unit washer/drier and a small park right behind the building that the windows look out onto, make this an excellent spot for anyone in the CWE and especially anyone working/learning at the medical campus. It is close enough to Wash U and the social center of the CWE to be very convenient, though far enough from both to have some sense of separation and to not be too loud. We lived there during residency, fellowship and our early attending years and loved it. We converted the second bedroom into an office, though it could be used for either function. It was a 7min bike for us to get to work everyday, and we could walk our dog to Forest Park in just a few minutes. One reserved open air gated parking space available, and free street parking (no permit needed) also available. Partially furnished: one queen sized and one full sized bed.
4496 Maryland Ave is a condo located in St. Louis City County and the 63108 ZIP Code.

Central West End’s European vibe is on display everywhere you look, from the classic architecture and layout to the charming parks and gardens to the open-air cafes and bistros that line the streets. The most dominant landmark is the sprawling Forest Park with its trails, sports facilities, lush greenery, and famous zoo – it’s a perfect community backyard for the families and urban professionals who call CWE home. The neighborhood’s elaborate Halloween celebrations and Labor Day Greek Festival are immensely popular, drawing people from all over the city. Art galleries and performance venues are popular draws as well, and the neighborhood enjoys a healthy yet subdued nightlife scene.
While located at the heart of one of the region’s biggest cities, Central West End is mostly residential, with most of the landscape filled with single-family homes. Apartments tend to be very affordable, and rental houses tend to be quite reasonable as well.
