Bourbonnais is a suburban village on the north side of Kankakee and about sixty miles south of the Chicago Loop. The community is known regionally as the home of Olivet Nazarene University, whose campus on the south end of town serves around 5,000 students and has been the site of the Chicago Bears’ training camp since 2002. Numerous parks dot the landscape, including the lush Perry Farm Park on the bank of the Kankakee River.
