Situated at the top of the high street with parking right outside, this fully renovated suite offers comfort and style. Please note that the building is currently undergoing renovations in common areas, and you will need to walk up two flights of stairs to reach the suite. This suite features a welcoming queen bed with side tables and a wardrobe, complete with blackout blinds for a restful sleep. The open-plan living area boasts a comfortable lounge with ample seating, a large smart TV, and a gas stove for heating. The fully equipped kitchen includes apartment-sized appliances, essential cooking supplies like salt, pepper, cooking oil, and fresh coffee beans, and a breakfast island with seating for two. The bathroom features a large walk-in shower, and hotel-quality towels, locally made hand soap, and body wash/shampoo are provided. Parking is available right outside the suite. Guests have access to a communal laundry room during their stay. Nestled in the picturesque Rocky Mountains of southeastern British Columbia, Fernie is a small city renowned for its stunning alpine scenery and vibrant community. The suite is conveniently located near restaurants and local shops in the historic downtown area, offering a charming atmosphere with preserved heritage buildings, boutique shops, cafes, and art galleries. Fernie is a haven for outdoor enthusiasts, offering world-class skiing and snowboarding at Fernie Alpine Resort, as well as hiking, mountain biking, golfing, and fly fishing in the summer months. The Elk River is a popular spot for anglers. The city also has a thriving arts and culture scene and a strong sense of community. Please be aware that due to the downtown location, some local noise may be expected throughout the day and into the evenings, especially during peak season when the nearby bars are more active. Smoking is not permitted anywhere in the unit, property, or on decks, balconies, or courtyards. Fines and/or eviction may occur for broken building rules. A minimum of $50/hr will be charged if flooring is coal/dirt stained and requires treatment, including communal areas. No laundering of ‘coal’ work clothes is allowed in the unit’s washing or drying machines. There will be a minimum surcharge of $150 per bedroom if the laundry is stained beyond recovery and/or the unit is found excessively dirty. A fine of up to $1000 will be issued, and you could be asked to vacate if any of the house rules are not obeyed. Quiet time is from 11 pm - 7 am. No pets are allowed. No parties are allowed. Sports equipment must remain downstairs in the provided storage area. The suite is equipped with a smart TV, and Wi-Fi is available for your convenience. [SI]
