50% House share opportunity! I have 2 rooms for rent in my 4 bed, 2 bath, 1,284sqft house. I’m offering a discount if someone can rent both rooms and use the other room as an office. The kitchen and your bathroom were just renovated! Tall cabinets offer plenty of storage. The entire house just had pop-corn ceilings removed and every room was painted floor to ceiling. Park in the gated driveway and use the shed in the backyard for extra storage. Room #3 is carpeted and rents for $1,150. Room #4 has a private entrance, luxury vinyl floors and a huge custom built armoire wardrobe and rents for $1,450.
$650 OFF PER MONTH if you rent both ($1,950 total) . I’ll cover most of the utilities and WiFi. The average monthly share with my last housemate was around $89/month.
The House is in the Oceanside tri-city area, close to Albertsons, Home Depot, Costco, Walmart, etc. Enjoy tennis courts, baseball, playground, or a nice walk in the park across the street. Walk down the street to Primo Thunder market and enjoy some pan dulce and Taco Tuesdays. The home is safe, alarmed, with cameras, but no cameras inside the house. 11 min drive to downtown Carlsbad or 15 min to downtown Oceanside.
Room 4 is on the opposite side of the house with a private entrance and is perfect for someone looking for more space and privacy. We will share the kitchen, living room, and backyard. If you rent both rooms you will generally have a private bathroom (it’s in the hallway so if there are guests over it’s not 100% private). Washer and dryer in the garage.
ABOUT ME: I’m 34, quiet and will be your only housemate. I enjoy hiking, fitness, riding my motorcycle, and DIY projects to improve the house. My last housemate moved out after 3.5 years because she retired and moved back to Wisconsin. Sometimes I have family visit from New Jersey or Las Vegas and they will stay in my second room. My parents are retired and will stay for a few weeks at a time, but they like to cook so hopefully you’ll enjoy the food while they are here. I work M-F during the day in an office. I’m a federal government employee (tech supervisor) so NOT 420 friendly. I’m not someone who likes parties at home, but I understand if you want to do a 4th of July BBQ or something like that.
REQUIREMENTS:
You will need to be ok filling out paperwork for a background check and credit check. No prior evictions. Looking for someone who isn’t loud and will respect the house we share. Planning for a December move in date, but will adjust the date for the right person. You must have an income of 2.5x the rent and near 700 credit score.
PETS:
I don’t have any pets, but there is a stray cat that likes to visit the backyard. Housebroken dogs welcome! Unfortunately if you have a cat it will need to stay in your room as I’m allergic.
