About the Listing Agent
Jason Dowdey
Weichert REALTORS Tower Properties
Jason was born with an entrepreneurial spirit and a strong sense of adventure. As an entrepreneur, he was raising dogs by the age of ten. To satisfy his sense of adventure, he started private pilot training at the age of fourteen. He was literally flying planes before he could drive. To afford his flying lessons and my first car, he routinely worked baling hay and other jobs on nearby farms, quickly learning the value of hard work. As a teen, Jason wanted to pursue a career in aviation right out of high school, but his flight instructor recommended he get a degree as a backup plan. He attended vocational school in an automotive program and took business classes as well. He worked as a furniture delivery guy to pay his way through college, as well as a carpenter, building cabinets for Winnebago motorhomes and installing flooring for new houses. That is where he started to develop an awareness for real estate and an appreciation for new construction. After graduation and a few years as a mechanic, Jason went on to buy a tool distribution franchise, which then led to a district manager job for Stanley Black & Decker. The position required a lot of traveling and he was often only home one day a week. By this time, him and his wife had three children and were outnumbered. To be the kind of dad he wanted to be, he knew he had to be home more. So that entrepreneurial spirit kicked in again and he took a good look at becoming a realtor, having previously purchased an investment property. He realized being a realtor would give him the flexibility he needed to be with his family and the independence he craved as an entrepreneur. It was one of the best decisions of Jason’s life! He loves helping other families while still being there for his own family, too. Jason gets a thrill out of walking sellers and buyers through the complexities of buying and selling a home. He tries to make the process as smooth as possible and take a lot of pride in knowing that he met or exceeded my clients’ expectations. Jason is always looking for ways to offer my clients added benefits. For example, he uses drone photography and create maps of the area around listing properties so that clients can see the layout of the neighborhood – where schools, stores, and parks are located. It is especially helpful for out-of-town buyers who aren’t familiar with a particular area. He even provides floor plans of listings to potential buyers, so they have something to refer to when considering a purchase. It puts him a step ahead of the competition when it comes to marketing and customer service. Jason offers his clients consistent and thorough communication throughout the process. To him, it is not just a sale, it’s about building a relationship. No matter whether it is a small or big transaction, He treats every client the same. He always tells his clients that his ultimate goal is to get a five-star review from them so that he knows he is earned their business.
