The Spaulding Community of Durham encompasses a few neighborhoods south of Downtown Durham, NC. Residents of Hillside Park, Parkside, and even Rockwood have taken to the name Spaulding because of the area’s proximity to Spaulding Elementary School and the neighboring North Carolina Central University campus.
