Milton is one of the oldest communities in Massachusetts, and as such offers a lot of historical places and sites to experience. The Suffolk Resolves House, where documents used to draft the Declaration of Independence were signed, is located in Milton. The town is also the birthplace of former US President George H.W. Bush. It’s a well-landscaped town, with plenty of old trees providing vibrant color in the summer. The center of Milton houses picturesque historic homes, with a few luxury apartment communities interspersed throughout.
Neponset Esplanade Park makes for a scenic walk along the namesake river. There’s even more green space on the southern edge of Milton, like the Blue Hills Reservation and Popes Pond. These open spaces and Milton’s highly-rated school system make it popular with families. Those looking for more nightlife will love that Boston is just 11 miles to the north, and accessible by rail.
