It is a suburb of Annapolis, located across the river roughly four miles from Downtown Annapolis. In addition to spending time at Woodland Beach or the Londontowne Marina, Edgewater residents can visit Historic London Town and Gardens, a colonial town founded in 1683. This park contains the William Brown House, built around 1760. The site's other buildings, Lord Mayor's Tenement and the Carpenter's Shop, are reconstructed on their original locations.
