We are putting our beautiful 1910 house up for rent as our family grows. It is located in the ultra-walkable South French Broad neighborhood, steps from the River Arts District, a quarter time from Mission Hospital and less than a mile from the South Slope and Downtown. It has heart pine floors throughout, 9' ceilings, pocket doors in the living room, massive bedrooms, gallery molding and other wonderful features from that era. It has a covered front porch and a large open back deck. The house sits high above the street for privacy. We renovated the kitchen in 2018 and renovated the bathrooms in early 2021. It has a brand new gas furnace and full air conditioning for the hot summers. It has a brand new tankless hot water heater for unlimited hot water. And it has a gas insert fireplace. It has all gas appliances (stove, dryer, water heater) so the utility bills are quite low.

Located on the southwest side of Downtown Asheville, South French Broad is tree-filled neighborhood defined by sprawling homes perched along hilly streets. The French Broad River is on the west side of the community, and S. French Broad Avenue bisects the neighborhood. South French Broad is home to the River Arts District Farmers Market, a popular weekly market featuring a variety of local farmers and artisans.
As part of the arts district, South French Broad is home to the Jonas Gerard Fine Art Studio, and several additional art studios and galleries are located on the western side of the neighborhood, especially along Roberts Street and Riverside Drive. The neighborhood is home to two large parks, as well: Aston Park and Murray Hill Park.
