About This Home
A nature-focused restorative stay for those who seek a meditative, peaceful and contemplative escape just 10 minutes from Downtown Asheville, but in your own quiet enclave just up the hill. The Three Hares Bungalows are set behind acres of woodland forest, and will be integrated within a now in-development sustainable and healing arts center where future guests as early as 2026 may retreat to engage in integrative and creative practice with a joyful and supportive community of guests and professional healing artists. For the first time this year, Three Hares Bungalows are available for medium-term furnished stays, fully appointed with curated cottage decor, local pottery and a modern fully stocked kitchen, queen bed with hypo-allergenic duvets, cotton linens, retro couches and new kitchen implements to cook using fresh produce and herbs from area farmer's markets, local tea and coffee roasted here in Asheville, and take daily walks through the adjoining woods, or find your trail a short drive up or down the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway, and further through the Pisgah National Forest. This home is a new build, a studio-sized round house, historically called a rondette, an architectural style found across the Blue Ridge Mountains starting in the 1960s. These homes are highly adaptive to mountain climates and built using materials and with a layout that results in an exceptionally energy-efficient home. This home features easy lever-controlled windows, sliding glass and screen door to your private reading or coffee porch. Electric, water, sewer, garbage and recycling pickup and high speed internet are included as part of your stay. Washer and dryer included in laundry closet. Mail service available. Unit library curated from a selection of works on visual arts, crafts and cooking arts. Home does not feature a television unit, but does include new Bose CD sound system to enjoy our local NPR station and your own Bluetooth audio, set up so you can properly unplug, but stay connected enough.
