Neighborhood - Hyde Park

Hyde Park

Hyde Park is a small community fewer than five miles east of downtown Cincinnati, best known for its central Hyde Park Square. This two-block area along Erie Avenue contains the life of Hyde Park with stores, restaurants, and regular events. In the park in the center of the square, one of the historically famous local vendors is Graeter’s Ice Cream parlor, which has been there since 1938. Hyde Park has its own daily village newspaper and a neighborhood council, helping it retain its own life separate from that of downtown Cincinnati while remaining as a key quality neighborhood in the city area.
