Apartment located in downtown Ridgway, 1/2 block from Hartwell Park and within easy walking distance of the entire town. This is new construction built to as eco-friendly standard and functionality as we were able to do. It is an extremely efficient SIP construction with grid-tied solar, an arctic heat pump, in floor heating for unit/garage, wood stove w/ cook top for ambience or necessity in an emergency, energy efficient appliances and windows, all windows open, ceiling fans. This is an ADU built in the back yard and we live onsite in the main house.
This is new construction and being rented in an, ummm, rather creative manner. We will be working with the first tenant in the unit to work out the details. Initial rental period is 6 months moving to long term at end of initial 6 months as parties to the lease decide is appropriate for each. Over all goal is attainable long term housing for local Ridgway workforce housing. Well behaved pets are allowed. Tobacco smoking is allowed outside. There is not at this time a set monthly rental rate as it will be based on an affordable percentage of successful applicant's situation. We anticipate the unit will be rented for less than the $2000 monthly listed here but for transparency laws required we pick a number so we went high. Utilities, including base internet service, are included in the lease. If tenant is a high data user of the internet, they will need to pay the upgrade difference.
