While currently part of the unincorporated county, the neighborhood increasingly aligns with the city of Bothell. It presents a mix of residential subdivisions, apartment living, lingering rural areas, and developing commercial areas centered around historic Thrasher's Corner along the Bothell-Everett Highway (also known as Highway 527). Red Hawk refers to the residential area east of the Highway.
