The rental price includes a large gas range, frost-free refrigerator, air conditioning and heat in the appropriate seasons, and all utilities except telecommunications. This particular apartment overlooks the building's tree-shaded courtyard, available for residents to enjoy. The apartment retains its charming original detailing, including lots of closet space and abundant vintage cabinetry. Electric service has been updated throughout, and includes new lights and a ceiling fan in the main room. A large laundry room with coin-operated machines is available in the building's basement. Parking is available in the building's heated garage for an additional $50 per month (scooters, motorcycles and bicycles may be parked in the garage at no additional charge, though you must pay a deposit for a remote control). You may not need a motor vehicle to live here. The location is a short walk to the city's best-served public transit line. Within walking distance are grocery stores, many restaurants, bars and shops on both South Grand and Cherokee Street, and all the amenities of a great urban center. Smoking is not allowed in the apartment or anywhere on the premises. This is a bicycle-friendly apartment building. You may park your bike in the building's heated garage at no charge. If you do not have your own renter's insurance policy, there is an additional fee of $9.50 per month for "Tenant Liability Insurance."
